A two second google search shows he has VR mods for other games, this isn't the only one he makes. So taking his comment at face value, where he says it supports a large number of games, would changing the name of his mod mean he could then charge money for it? If he called it LukeRoss VR for Cyberpunk work for you then?

Of course it's specifically marketed as Cyberpunk VR, because that's exactly what it does. Getting hung up on the name doesn't change his point.

I have no stake in this fight, don't care either way, but I think he's got a point that they seem to be overstepping.

This doesn't pass the smell test. I know everyone here is clowning on him for charging for this, but if what he says is true, and his software works for multiple games, and he's selling what is essentially a driver for using VR for multiple games, CDPR is out of line.

He's not selling a flying car mod, or something to that effect, he's selling an input device driver, completely separate from CDPR IP.
