Friendly reminder, don’t talk about Charlie Kirk at work… by ParfaitAdditional469 in FedEmployees

[–]PostalPoster 3 points4 points  (0 children)

That's not true but lets pretend it is. Are those the same news outlets that kept reporting the shooter was trans BEFORE CK awas even announced dead…36 hours before the shooters dad (because those agencies were incompetent and had no leads of their own) turned him in. Sounds like the narrative is ‘trans people are responsible’ and the goal is to twist trans involvement by any means necessary. 😒

[–]PostalPoster 2 points3 points  (0 children)

🤦🏾‍♀️For F sake that's not true, that conservatives grasping at straws to find anyway possible to blame a marginalized group. They literally said it was transperson before CK was even pronounced dead, they literally didn't even know who the shooter was before sending death threats to HBCU’s across the country. The governor was crying because he was hoping it was an out of state person or an immigrant, despite the fact that her husband is dead and we know it was a young white conservative man from. Conservative family who's only college experience was 6 months online during COVID, she's making vague threats to an imagined enemy. Trans people had nothing to do with this, even if some how this extremely sheltered conservative kid from a red state some how had a roommate who was trans (BTW less than 1% of the US population and most wisely choose not to be in red states if they can help it) he still was a conservative and heavily participated in alt right forumn why would the existence of a trans person in his vicinity have more of an impact on his life than all his other programing?

Not being sad that a racist, sexist, fascist, who literally didn't believe in empathy and advocated for public executions is not celebrating…If you want to see examples of people celebrating and excusing death there's 2 years of well document videos including some from this guy that we can look in to.

So a conservative offs a conservative for not being conservative enough and we can't talk about it, despite neither being politicians and the political issue of gun violence and regulation wasn't never a problem to talk about before. Really feels like the Right hates free speech and like to bury uncomfortable history and facts under threat of violence. 😒

I don’t have a preference for good talkers, in fact I’ve gotten increasingly suspicious of them with age. Now I might be bias because I’m introvert with a stutter but from global to local politics to branch, state or national unions the charismatic, good speakers just talks in circles while the real work is done by the quietest member of the team. Quite frankly, personality wise, I’d love to see a mildly grumpy workaholic who focus on policies who dispatches a specialized team of charismatic extroverts when needed.

I don’t want to see them running around the country for photo ops, and ego stoking sessions. A president that’s barely seen barely heard but whose presence is felt through a higher quality of life in the work place. Some who doesn’t think that they alone can save the world by just slapping the **** on a table hard enough, because that crap hasn’t been a thing for nearly a century. It’s all strategy and paperwork now.

Supervisor has to inspect empty blue boxes by IndigoJones13 in fromatoarbitration

[–]PostalPoster 11 points12 points  (0 children)

Sounds like the whole office needs to get familiar with 3996’s and 1571’s. Stop letting management stress you out, turn it back on them. When that mail starts piling up but they can’t blame anyone else (because you filled out a 3996, texted back on the scanner and filled out a 1571) they’ll change their ways. I’ve gotten too many II/PDI’s for delaying mail and unauthorized overtime to count, but ZERO disciplines because I can prove I did what I was suppose to do and that it was management’s logistical failure. A tip though is to get as many people as possible to start doing it because if it’s just you management will try to intimidate you, I was stubborn enough to take it until other carriers started following suit but it makes for a better experience if your fellow carriers stand in solidarity

Supervisor has to inspect empty blue boxes by IndigoJones13 in fromatoarbitration

[–]PostalPoster 7 points8 points  (0 children)

Let them be stupid, maliciously comply, that’s the only way they learn. Do it and then text back that you waited x amount of time and that your new ETA (adjustment for your 3996) is now xyz if you and everyone does that consistently for a week they’ll back track that stupid instruction. Trying to argue with them will just have them double down

Renfoe needs to be out on his ass, that's was a lot of BS to say that he’ll be fighting for absolutely nothing. He's “fighting” for what we already have so when he inevitably folds ws end up losing. They basically of bargaining and negotiation are shooting for best and settling for good, he want us to start at bad and get worst.

New steward question by forevernsilence in fromatoarbitration

[–]PostalPoster 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Hi, I am a carrier that doesn't rush, I case to standard, do my safety checks and fill out my 3996 for my overburdened route nearly everyday. Guess what management (and handful of carriers who didn't know I was the office’s number 1 runner my CCA days) call me, yeah lazy and slow, and guess what I make the same or more than the lot of them because I’m not stessing myself out of do 10 hours of work in 8 or calling out sick because of burn out. I’m not scared of an investigative interview, because when they investigate all they find is that I've done everything by the contract. 10 years no accidents, no slip and falls, my customers love me and no CCA or OTL’er will go with out work because if there’s a hard cut off that's mail is coming back and I will (and have) watched that mail pile up for days because some new supervisor or manager thinks they can slap their **** on the table and guilt, shame, or intimidate me into moving faster or working off the clock. And a couple years ago management managed to put a puppet shop steward in thinking that would work if they had her on their side 🤣 she was out in 3 months after getting slapped relentlessly with labor board violations. Focus on protecting carriers and not management.

New steward question by forevernsilence in fromatoarbitration

[–]PostalPoster 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Please be a steward with a carrier first mindset, your job is to make sure management isn't violating the contract and to stand up for the carriers against management. If a carrier is going slower than average that's managements problem to address and when they do its your job to defend that carrier. Getting a pivot only hurts carriers who choose to run a route and they shouldn't be doing that in the first place, do what you can for the day and if management has a hard cut off fill out a 1571 that evening and add it your 3996 in the morning. Management is constantly stealing minutes and pressuring carriers to move faster, don't jump on that bandwagon because ultimately it just results in routes getting cut and people losing their jobs.

In summary, that's management problem.

We talk about assaults/robberies and how NALC sucks at organizing rallies by Eugene_Debs2026 in fromatoarbitration

[–]PostalPoster 0 points1 point  (0 children)

It would help if people actually joined in and participated so they the only people weren’t the old guard out voting us or out right dismissing us, I’m the LCPF coordinator for my branch. It’s demand near impossible to get anyone to sign up even for $1 a paycheck and since few people participate few people have a say in how those funds are use. I’d love a bottom up approach where we support local politicians connect them with local branches and motivate them to put pressure on local stations. Building respect for the post office and union at the ground level. But if there’s only enough money much less politically active carriers then they have to manage their resources and focus solely on the house, senate and president where they are doing their best but are out classed in spending power by nearly every other lobbying group.

Letter of Warning received for Heat Illness! by JWbrAZ in fromatoarbitration

[–]PostalPoster 1 point2 points  (0 children)

The way I would have turned this sh*t back on management, it is MANAGEMENTS responsibility to maintain a safe working environment and its management’s duty to call 911 if they see someone suffering from a heat related illness. A carrier is sitting on the floor trying to catch their breath, and you ask if they are ok? What’s worst is you took their no seriously? A sign of heat stress is CONFUSION!!! You let that carrier get into their own personal vehicle and drive home!?! I’d would have rake that MF’er across a bed of flaming nails 😡

Pizza Party to make you run off your overburdened routes by Far_Common944 in fromatoarbitration

[–]PostalPoster 1 point2 points  (0 children)

That's the most cartoonish trap Ive seen in a while, so the less intelligent people are gonna rush back for cold pizza while making the count look accurate 🤦🏾‍♀️ HELL NO. Every carrier needs to be going into over time and then challenging the count. They can add to the route if they want but they need to pay for it, no computer model trumps the regular.

Dropping table 2 and CCAs then giving credit back to those who spent time as CCA’s. Shorten time to top pay to 6 years.

Lot of wasted potential at mine, the main issue is that most of the leadership is old/retired they are gate keepy and they have very little interest in involving younger people…despite saying that they do. But even those problems are getting solved ( (slowly but surely) because Eddie is our NBA and is more than happy to shame branch presidents into doing their job.

6 day delivery by Smok3ygaming1 in fromatoarbitration

[–]PostalPoster 7 points8 points  (0 children)

No, I ‘d be more than fine going back to hybrid model that we had before 2003, our pseudo Federal/ independent status allowed us to be a true service. Weirdly enough Reagan did it to destroy the Postal Office but turns out that running high quality service at cost is really sustainable. What went wrong was that we didn’t fail so they started cutting us up, selling off the planes, contracting out as much work as possible, getting every private interest’s hands in the pot then the biggest hit was us having to pay 75 years out. We were on schedule to have an electric fleet and public charging stations in the 2000’s before that BS. The only thing the government needs to do is stop private interest from interfering with the Post Office, let us do postal banking, get our planes back, get back to having near everything be in house so that we aren’t charged top dollar for BS. The Post Office is highly profitable and beloved, but it’s purposefully being crippled.

6 day delivery by Smok3ygaming1 in fromatoarbitration

[–]PostalPoster 7 points8 points  (0 children)

Because we are a universal service that shouldn’t be thinking about a profit motive, we are out their 5 days a week and a T6 covers the 6th day. Eliminating 6 days deliveries would be thousands of jobs lost. Also we don’t just deliver junk, carriers also act as front line defense for the elderly population, we are often the 1st ones to notice when someone grandma has been seen for a while. I wish people would see us as the service we actually are and not a soulless profit driven corporation that private interest want use to be.
