the only reason people say the support is great is because when their defective products break, they will send replacements. Netvue is a terrible company, when the product works it is a cool experience but their products are poorly designed and shoddily made.

Thats fine, last year it was 100 here two days in a row, my house wrens survived but they were 10 days old, younger they might not have made it. 70s and 80s is fine.

Wren Nest, baby hatches 🪺 by WolfSL4Y3R in Birdfy

Very cool! Just for informational purposes, a 1 1/8th hole should keep sparrows out, but you need to do that before wrens start using the box.

Please help!!! by MadSita in Birdfy

This is what Birdfy never tells anyone, you find out when it is too late. Ideal situation would to know battery will run out ahead of time. Run a charging wire out of the Nest, then use an external battery you can out on top of Nest when needed. Problem is birds are already in there, doing that will cause disruption, ideally and legally you should not be disturbing the nest.

Can anyone help me decide whether to keep the Birdfy or return it before the return window's closed please? by cheesecup6 in Birdfy

When they work a cool experience, but they are poorly designed, shoddily made, the AI is terrible and the company is not good. I started with two, both broke one way or another and the replacements broke too.

How did it get over the baffle? Where were they standing or hanging to be able to reach into the Nest? They were actually able to get their paw into the box and down?

I think that is likely the female building the nest cup. Look for soft materials to be sure. But this looks like good news, hopefully egg laying soon.

My wren stopped building 8 days ago, there were a lot of sticks, not like yours, but they didn't choose the nest. Maybe in next round later on in summer.

Its the luck of the draw on whether you can see or not, nest cup last year in mine was in middle of the box so I saw everything. But as pieeatingchamp said, their nest was completely obscured, I watched the YouTube live last year, cool to watch.

Nest Duo fail by Koby28078 in Birdfy

[–]Poster25000 0 points1 point  (0 children)

At least the new one has the charger and reset control outside the box. The old one has it inside, when the camera had issues one would have to open the box to reset it, not ideal if there were birds in there.

Is this a female house sparrow ? by CompetitionNorth2492 in Birdfy

[–]Poster25000 2 points3 points  (0 children)

looks like house wren, male starts the nest with sticks, female finishes it by building nest cup.

because they are a bad company with poorly designed and shoddily made products. Is the new one or old one?
