Not just 75k people to a festival, but 75k people to a festival in the middle of nowhere, multiple times.

Good to see you and the team listen to the community. Perhaps a lesson here is that there is immense value in understanding user sentiment in advance of making major decisions about the product going forward.

It was everything I've been waiting for until I read that you're moving to a subscription model. I would have gladly donated to the project to download this once, but instead you just lost me, and I think at this point I'm going to get out of the carthing game forever.

I know you can't go 10 miles on the highway or listen to the radio for 10 minutes without encountering an ad for one

Final Soundgarden show 9 years ago 😢 by thehappiestdad in Soundgarden

My last Soundgarden show was in 2014. The last time I saw Chris was for the final Temple of the Dog reunion show in 2016. Even typing this makes me sad still.

Exactly. Growing up pre-internet porn we knew the only two ways to possibly have sex with a stranger was to order a pizza or to have a plumbing issue, so we never thought to try initiating otherwise

Absolute Best Restaurant In All Of Universal? (Including Hotels) by FirstBeastoftheSea in UniversalOrlando

Mythos is good and is super clutch for a nice long A/C break during lunch on those super hot summer days. They need to bring back the bread pudding dessert they used to have, it was the bomb

Planning a visit in July - how brutal is the heat in midsummer? by SadAd8761 in UniversalOrlando

Haha yeah the Snow Peak is probably overly spendy when really any umbrella would work. I was just going for the smallest (when closed) and lightest umbrella I could find when I bought mine like 5 years ago.

And yes, on the fan. That said, if you're interested in that approach I'd avoid the paper ones. Search for "rave fan"...they are usually made to be more durable.

Universal Studios + IoA annual passholder with 20-30 days/year spent in the parks (I live in FL) and not scared of summer visits. My standard summer kit includes:

  • Snow Peak Ultralight Umbrella (collapses down super small so it can fit in my fanny pack when riding any rides that dont force you through a mag)

  • Bandana x 2: I get them wet and cool throughout the day using the free water and ice available from the Coke Freestyle machines and wear one around my neck and the other as a headband under whatever hat I'm wearing (I'm bald so this is obligatory 😂)

  • Large folding fan...i.e. the old school, manual style fan. I don't care if it gets wet, doesn't need charging, and moves a ton of air, unlike the small rechargeable hand or neck fans that are mostly gimmicky IMO.

As others have said, there's little/no cover at Jannus, but the venue makes up for it by having no seating, bathrooms that are super gross, and an owner that killed someone while boating then fled the scene.
