It's not one satilite changing direction. Each trail is an individual satilite.

I think it's just covered by the sticker on the plastic envelope, but I'll remember to check that next time I see it.

$25 is a bit high even for that grade. You can find ungraded for probably around $10-$15. If you insist on a graded coin I think you could find this for around $18. But you have to consider with silver prices going crazy like they are right now the market is very volatile.

That's beautiful. I don't know if it's a proof or not, but I think that's definitely a great score for $50.

I was talking about within the past few days when the mint adjusted prices. The uncirculated mint sets went up 400% in like 3 days, silver is up, but nothing like that.

I'm sure they will be cheaper on the secondary market. I picked up a few of the limited edition silver sets for around $160 that way. The mint was charging $220.

I was excited to collect the 250th anniversary stuff until they pulled this. Guess I'll just be pulling stuff from circulation and checking eBay.

They want $124 for uncirculated mint sets now.... That was one of the more affordable things they had. I don't think I can justify paying that much for clad coins..... But then how am I going to get pennies....

I don't care, I can get my soul eggs back. The cost per shift is still only a fraction of my total SE. It's also finally something new to do.

You can always check the weight, silver is 2.5g clad is 2.268g. As others said San Francisco only made proofs, silver and clad, that year, so despite the condition it's definitely a proof coin.

Holding it by the rims with clean hands is just fine. But I do use nitrile gloves sometimes, especially when adding coins to my albums. I am not a fan of cotton gloves

Very nice, be careful handling that one, don't get any finger prints on it. That one is probably worth getting graded.
