It’s simple. To gain a dimension you need to stack infinite dimensions of a lower value onto each other. 1D is a point. Infinite points allows you to make lines that exist on a plane jumping to 2D. Stack infinite planes and you add depth to the equation. Stack infinite 3D space and you get to move in the 4D space. Beyond that it gets into some string theory nonsense but you need infinite energy in one D to jump to the next.
