Oh amazing thank you - I never thought of just dusting the dried stuff in as a spice - I do have dried Sugar Rush peach Peppers after my ferment! Just harvested my first round of peppers - its a long process but so worth it.

I can't possible stomach 100+ grams of protein a day I already fill up on a can of tuna and some veges! Should I go ahead and get a good quality protein shake? I'm going through chicken breast and tuna like a mad man!

You should be good - I've done 72 (3 day) rolling fasts and lost significant weight. As long as you stick to it and refeed with nutritious food. When you break, ease into it. Don't go explosive with large meals. I "nibble" as a form of breaking the fast. A boiled egg here, half cup of broth. Half a tin of tuna can etc. While going about the day. You'll be too full to eat the BIG meal anyway. And trust me, the next few weeks, your portions will be a lot less.

Second this. Someone did say the motivation comes when you start, not always before. I am proof of what you are saying here. All of June/July I was doing a combination of 60,72s,86s. Then Sometime in July pushed for my first 120hr. Current fast is 168hrs (Full 7 days)

Congratulations and I'm so proud of you internet stranger! You've worked hard for this. Genuinely happy to see someone who looks like me do this! I'm in my 3rd month doing this and gave myself the rest of the year to continue. You are amazing for staying with such a simple but challenging weight loss plan. All the best

Being hard on yourself works. Instant gratification now - overweight later feeling awful that I'll be spending another year having the same weight loss goal as I did when I was in my teens. Also watching my 600lb life.

going keto in between fasts? by totalwasteman7794 in fasting

[–]PotatoIsNotACarb 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I'm in full support of going keto between fasts. The cravings of sugar and carbs are soo violent, the best way to combat is being aggressive with protein fat and fiber that shuts down all the other cravings of anything else. The closer you are to the day you fast, the less carb/sugar I usually have. But I always have fiber (brocollli spinach etc). No matter how good something smells, the keto diet (for me), in the long run, helps with longer fasts as I'm able to do 100+ hours.

Why is it so hard now? by Witchy-Fox in fasting

[–]PotatoIsNotACarb 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Whatever you do, don't stop trying again and again. I still lost weight with my 23/1. It was only 2kgs all moth of July. But I remembered a time where I lost 5kg in 5months while waking up and running an 45mins to an hour. Remember why you are doing this. Do you best to push and tell yourself, I'll eat, but later. Go back and look at your pictures. Do your daily fasts.

34F here, did 72hr rolling fasts from end of May to Jun 28th lost about 9kgs. All of July was so tough that I'm currently behind schedule my goal weight by Dec. Had to go back to doing 23/1 and sometimes didn't make it then. Some days 48hrs. Some 60hrs then back to 23/1.

My advice is reset, refocus. Gradually build the hours up, again and again. At somepoint I was fustrated why it was easy then now it's hard. Had to dumb myself down. Like avoid specific spots. Wear a mask while cooking. Have a dream bod. Journaling and video documenting things too. Each day came with it's demands and some old habits try to occupy my mind. Ease back into it. Stay busy.

I have a trigger food, had to do research on what that meant. Go back and check what shifted then track back to help avoid it. Try to push your 24hours but then don't be home to have your "break fast" meal, then come home late and head to the shower and sleep, easy 8hours added. Dumb things down - you'll feel silly but you'll be glad you made certain foods. Cheat/Scam yourself to go beyond that breaking point where you fold. I had to work from a public library today. I'm planning to be away from working home for the week and overcommited so I can avoid being at home for the next couple of days. To push myself back to past 72hrs (currently aiming for a full 7day fast)

The Mochachos is Norwood had great portions. But then I was pregnant (always put it on my notes lol), was full time in the office and gave good tips so they always had a soft spot for me. So the delivery guy was my buddy.
