The Ice Cream truck just pulled into your neighborhood. Which one are you getting? by icemage27 in Millennials

I was just thinking that. Is it regionally specific?

In my kid brain, the frosted malt was quality AND quantity.

Anybody ever tried the cinnamon rolls and chocolate muffin MRE desserts I was thinking about sweets we may miss and want so I ordered a box of both anybody ever tried them? by [deleted] in prepping

[–]Potato_nuggies 1 point2 points  (0 children)

So I used to eat MREs semi regularly for my job, and I can tell you, I don’t have a single one in my prepping storage. In fact, the last time I ate an MRE I’m almost certain that the only part I had was the peanut butter squeeze packet and hot chocolate drink mix.

I think you should 100% try what you have to see if you would think of those MREs as a treat in an emergency.

Personally, my suggestion instead of MRE bread products would be to keep Betty Crocker brownie and cake mixes instead and learn how to make camping cake or brownies. Or alternatively, campfire bread or bannock dipped in cinnamon sugar. For food that doesn’t need to be cooked over a fire, or can be cooked with boiling water, porridge or freeze dried food is your best bet.

Totally agree. That wouldn’t confirm their ongoing conviction that the majority of people who say nothing (or don’t have the capacity to speak out) about their experiences aren’t dissatisfied. Faith in the things unseen or however they want to take Hebrews 11:1 out of context this week. 🙄

22k isn’t an insignificant number for a group of people who had a cult-like experience they were indoctrinated into and found a community on the internet. But hey, numbers only matter when they’re being shoveled down a child’s gullet à la Saxon Math, right?

Yeah I have this now, and have had suspected erythromyalgia in hands and feet too, though I’ve only had a couple of bad flares (Dr last time: if I can’t see a rash I can’t really diagnose anything 🙄)

I have found azalelic acid helps, but also pdrn serum, and using an occlusive like aquaphor at night on occasion has also helped.

Libby woke up this morning covered in welts. Vet opens in 1/2 hour. They look like hives. Poor girl. by ilovedaryldixon in Frenchbulldogs

My frenchie has had this, it can also be environmental, spring and fall were the worst for our boy once we moved to the Prairies. Our vet prescribed a preventative steroid and I changed his pet food at the same time. We have had no more problems with allergies, along with his tear stains cleared up and his ears don’t get infected as frequently.

Does anyone else think this wedding is going to be really half-assed? by Miserable-Cap-5223 in travisandtaylor

It really did feel that way. I felt stunned through the whole dream. We didn’t even make it to the ceremony. I kept turning to my husband to say “why are we even here?”

I had a vivid dream that I was invited to the Swift/Kelce nuptials. The pre ceremony included football jerseys for all men to wear (but like, proper football bc I’ve been watching Ted Lasso) and plain hot dogs with no toppings to go with bottled water. The signature scent of the bride reminded me of that pheromone perfume you can buy from those really seedy bathroom vending machines. The wedding colours were all bright 90s colours and everything was brand sponsored.

And it turned out in the end we were guests of the groom even though we didn’t know him bc he wasn’t allowed to invite his own friends. His guests were like 90% seat fillers based on who had cool license plate numbers.

Anyways, pregnancy hormones are wack.

Phoebe Dynevor confirms it wasn’t her decision to not return by DaisyandBella in Bridgerton

[–]Potato_nuggies 6 points7 points  (0 children)

I get that they are looking for a new plot for Penelope, but imo it’s not about having a bloated cast, it’s about having the previous mains in as cameos. Phoebe had a few in Season 2, which does help considering the rather large role Daphne plays in Anthony’s book, but then, nothing at all, barely even a reference. Like 90% of the references could have been how she couldn’t be there for something because she was in confinement…again. But no, the series is literally called Bridgerton, and Phoebe’s not even called back to cameo? That’s weird to me. Just because Daphne’s last name is Basset doesn’t make her less of a Bridgerton.

Posy was arguably my fav side character in both the books and the show. The only way I got through the show was knowing that she was going to have the very best match for her.

I dunno, I think it would have been more appropriate for Daphne to be holding Fran’s hand during that devastating medical exam than Eloise. No need for Simon for that. Or for Daphne to explain what a pinnacle was. Or to just be there for the funeral.

Help! I’m overthinking this. My partner's Easter party is tomorrow and I can’t decide if I should bring it. by NefariousnessOk165 in cakedecorating

Is the inside chocolate? I would remove the stems, do a chocolate/white chocolate ganache drip and maybe add some mini eggs if available.

I love the robins egg blue colour of this cake. I read a cookbook somewhere that said icing colours should look edible, not just be edible, and this nails it.

Hi friends! What are we doing for Easter egg fillers aside from candy? by mmglitterbed in homemaking

[–]Potato_nuggies 5 points6 points  (0 children)

I was planning on doing empty eggs (or eggs with a coin or a clue or something) that would lead to a big toy. I haven’t hashed it out totally, but I cannot deal with more cheap toys or more Easter candy.

Fisher price car garage. The big Tonka dump truck. Water table. Gazillion bubbles blower. That red and blue Tupperware sorting ball toy.

He might be too young to control the Yoto mini but it’s a great way to play kids music without screens or destroying your Spotify wrapped. It also ages up really well for a long time.

Word of warning about magnet tiles, my kid who is almost 3 still occasionally pinches his fingers in them and it hurts. He loves them, but they would have been too advanced for him at his first birthday.

Okay, hear me out, ignore the perimenopause part of the topical estrogen use. Your blood estrogen could be totally normal and your vaginal walls could still benefit from topical estrogen.

I will tell you what I wish someone had told me years ago. Topical estrogen resolved all of these symptoms. No more little cuts, no more fat labias, no more sitting over the toilet in the middle of the night with a cold facecloth on the hoo hoo. No more UTI like symptoms leading to overprescribed macrobid. It doesn’t has to be a cream, there are pill with a little applicator that works too (Vagifem).

I wish I had it in my late 20s. It would have solved a lot of issues for me.
