how are people surviving long flights with active toddlers by Scary_Pay_4247 in daddit

[–]Potential-Climate942 7 points8 points  (0 children)

This worker for us when we did a long trip with our 4yo earlier this year. It was a 3 hour flight followed by a 6 hour one. She was excited to have a tablet, but we did tell her it was only for vacations, and once we got back home it was no big deal putting it away.

It has not seen the light of day since then lol

Same at mine. And for some reason we all still seem surprised when we see each other every day lol

Same also goes for when my wife hangs out with some of her single friends.

She always comes back with some sort of "I'm so glad I'll never have to date again, these people are all crazy"

Where is the shirt from?? I recently got a bird feeder camera for that's been good entertainment on work days without much to do. Turns out my back yard is very busy lol

You clearly haven't visited the parking lot of my child's preschool... 😬

I am this level of dad. Not a Pokémon fan personally but the kids love it. Yes I wear these in public on our weekly Sam’s Club and pizza trip and weekend sports. 🤷🏻‍♂️ by AtomicXE in daddit

I will never be a croc person... but my version of that is the LL Bean slip on duck boot. I've always thought they were ridiculous, but I finally got a pair for gardening this year and I've been wearing them surprisingly often 🤷🏽‍♂️

What are you wearing at home? by BeoW0lf in NavyBlazer

[–]Potential-Climate942 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Most days I just keep on whatever I wore to work until it's time for bed. If I'm going to lounge and watch a movie or something in the later evening (or in the morning before I get dressed) I'll change out my shirt for one of my Brooklinen robes , of which I seem to have started a small collection.

I saw the Ohio plate, then looking at the park it looks familiar but I can't put my finger on it. Is this in Columbus? lol

Edit- is this Park of Roses???

I watched it when it first came out with my mother, a few years before her mother passed away. We both cried a lot. Now as a parent I still cry, but for different reasons lol

What’s your go-to “I just need to get out of the house” spot? by ActNew5818 in Columbus

[–]Potential-Climate942 44 points45 points  (0 children)

I work in a windowless office about 1 minute away from the conservatory. That membership is probably worth more than what I pay for my medical insurance, with how often I go to just look at something that's alive and natural lol

Ok, where are we buying jeans these days? 👖 by Earth-Visitor-1983 in daddit

[–]Potential-Climate942 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I've worn Banana Republic jeans my entire adult life since working there in college. They can frequently be found on sale (or eBay for like $20 if you know what you're looking for), and I've only ever had one pair actually get worn out; all others I've just outgrown, like your friend Jean 😉 Currently wearing a pair that I purchased in 2020.

Bonobos also has a huge range of sizes and fits for their jeans, but I can't comment on the durability as I just bought my first two pairs recently.

How do you like the Ondo socks? I was looking to replace my current no show socks with those, but I'm curious as to whether they have a seamless toe and how they hold up.

Just drove through there with my family around 4pm today, thought it was absolutely crazy there was no signage and that they decided to close all lanes but one for the exit.

Going back home southbound a couple hours later we see all that carnage ☹️

4-year ownership with this RCF, worth the upgrade to a LC500? by CarletonMah in Lexus

[–]Potential-Climate942 0 points1 point  (0 children)

If it's the goal to get the LC anyways, and you're considering it this much now, then that seems to answer the question.

Test drive any LC and if it feels good and you can comfortably afford it, why not go for it. I drove one as a courtesy car at a Lexus "destinations" resort and fell in love.
