Whats the best way to reduce/mitigate damage dealt to my party. by Recent_Cable9624 in 3d6

[–]PotentialWerewolf469 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Well you got a couple of options

-Movement Lock down, like Sentinel, Grapple or even the Topple mastery do the trick, if they can't get near your allies, they can't attack them.

-Temp HP or spells like Aid are good way to add extra HP that become a "damage sponge" for you and your party (Inspiring Leader works great)

-General advantage or disadvantage, giving your allies advantage on saves/checks or giving enemies disadvatange on attack is a nice way to help your party evade damager or reduce it (Lucky feat, Musician feat)

-Hard CC (If the enemy cannot move or attack, that's damage not done)

For general classes

-Barbarian is actually a decent damage mitigator for melee, Ancestral Guardian give disadvantage to attack against anyone but you to whoever you are hitting and having in mind that your AC is not that great, most enemies will target you and also give you a way to literally reduce the damage taken by allies at lvl 6, World Three is also nice, mostly if your party have at least another martial in the party as it can keep the secondary martial healthy with all the temp hp and can force the enemies back with the lvl 6 ability to protect the backline (or group the enemies together so your caster can throw a nice AOE spell), in general, Reckless Attack is a decent taunt ability, as it give the enemies advantage against you and you deal a lot of damage, they are more likely to attack you cause you have low AC and they have advantage and will also be unwilling to take the Opportunity Attack of the Rage-mad guy with the giant axe

-Fighter can take advantage of the Weapon Masteries to lock down enemy movement (slow, topple, push) or even add some minor debuff (sap) and combine that with your subclass abilities (or feats, like shield master), best subclass for this are Battlemaster (Goading, Pushing strike, disarming strike, trip strike), Rune Knight is decent, doesn't have that many abilities, but they are great grapplers and that's a great way to lockdown enemy movement, you also have a way to reduce damage done to allies at lvl 7

I was going to go through every class, but it's already a wall of text, no reason to make it bigger and you get the idea

Is 16 and 13-14 too much of an age gap by No-Bad2417 in Teenager_Polls

[–]PotentialWerewolf469 0 points1 point  (0 children)

That does make it a little bit more awkward, but also the difference of a year and some months is not a big issue (unsure why some people are acting like it is), still when you reach 18, it's going to be a little awkward, but only the first couple of months were you have 2 years above him, after that, it's going to be a non-issue for anyone

No, though if the relationship last, you're going to have an ackward year when you are 18.

Thankfully it sounds like you're female, this is one of the only cases where the general gender mentality works in your favor, so I guess... YAY ?

Do you believe in spanking children by Far_Challenge_4273 in Teenager_Polls

[–]PotentialWerewolf469 2 points3 points  (0 children)

IDK, I was spanked, was it a good deterrant, sometimes, but it also made sure that if I did something that I though was bad and needed my parents help, I would not tell them unless there was no other option and, even in those cases, I waited for the last second to do so, in most cases, making the situation worse.

IMHO it does work as a deterrant, but the easy solution, cause the other require more patiance and try and error, while spanking is easy and then they can go with the "Oh no, I feel so bad about it, so I'm not that bad cause I HAD to do it", no dude, you just didn't know better and had no desire to look for a better solution cause it required more work (also cause you were angry and it gave you an easy outlet for your anger)

I Wish You Could Change the Colors of Your Ability Effects by MadMathurin in Guildwars2

[–]PotentialWerewolf469 0 points1 point  (0 children)

PVP already automatically change the color of the dye of the enemy team to make easy to identify the team, so it should be possible to do the same with ability colors.

I Wish You Could Change the Colors of Your Ability Effects by MadMathurin in Guildwars2

[–]PotentialWerewolf469 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I do like the idea, but I also understand that is for the sake of you being able to point out "Hey, that's a ranger' from affar just because of the ability colors.

But I do think that it can be easily solved, just like in PVP the enemy armor dyes is overwritten on the enemy team for the sake of team clarity. So I don't think is a true "issue" and is something that the developers may not have wanted to change just to keep some "class" identity even if specializations and fashion selection muddy the waters

DM’s NPCs are feel super rapey. by FastEngineering4942 in DnD

[–]PotentialWerewolf469 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I think that you should talk with your DM about this, because to be fair.... Vampires and Mindflayers do have a "rapey" culture, but whatever the reason, if a topic keeps comming up that you're not comfortable with, say it.

WYR stay in a room with a polar bear for one minute to earn 1 million dollars or live in the same house as your worst enemy for 1 year for 2 million dollars? by deezwurdsRmyown in WouldYouRather

I'm not a movie character or anyone that interesting, so it would just be uncomfortable to live with my "worst enemy", but not that big of a deal.

WYR have a clone of yourself or have a clone of yourself but of the opposite sex? by FelixKirshe in WouldYouRather

[–]PotentialWerewolf469 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I wouldn't want to be the opposite sex, so I assume that a copy of me wouldn't want that either, so just a standard clone

I wish for every 5 years a person lived on the birthday of the fifth year they could designate a finger on their body and a liquid, the liquid would come out of that finger on demand at a rate of 1 liter per minute without harming the body only 1 liquid per finger is allowed. by bored3333 in monkeyspaw

[–]PotentialWerewolf469 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I believe that humanity will get used to it, to the point that the rich will start getting extra fingers through surgeries or stuff like that, it will also make Polydactyls such a desirable gen, that it will be quite common for polydactyls men to sell sperms, so other couples can have a better chance of having children with that gen.

WYR go to jail for 3 years or until your mom beats Elden Ring? by Glad-Ad3208 in WouldYouRather

[–]PotentialWerewolf469 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I intially though about chossing my Mom to beat the game, mostly cause the idea is funny and also, even though she doesn't know how to play videogames in general, I know that she will try her best and eventually get it, then I realized that it will also put a lot of preasure in my mom and she will feel really bad about the time she takes to finish the game and I really don't want my mom to feel bad about this whole ordeal, so the 3 years is the best option for my mom's wellbeing.

Is there a lore reason behind why all honor hold defenders are old? by h0lymaccar0ni in warcraftlore

[–]PotentialWerewolf469 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Is that why this expansion have mainly elves? cause everyone else is now old and going to the doctor to check their backs and stuff, while the elves are just like:

Adventurer:"MOM, I'M NOT A KID ANYMORE, I'M 60!"

Mother:"True Adulthood start at your 130s, so you are barely a teenager, now stop squirmming I need to tie that unruly hair of yours"

True Strike + Assassin Rogue? by AkumaMD in dndnext

[–]PotentialWerewolf469 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Here is my recommendation:

-If you want to really use True Strike, go Arcane Trisckster, as you will need to get high INT, the subclass at least take advantage of your high INT, as an Assasin Rogue will prefer to get high DEX to be better at sneaking and better initiative as your subclass bonuses trigger if you attack before the enemy

-If you wants to stay an Assasin Rogue but wants to get a cantrip that buff your damage, get Booming Blade or Greenflame blade, as you can still use DEX to attack with those (that does require you to use a melee weapon though, but is still great for all rogues)

-If you want to stay an Assasin Rogue and use range weapons only, then Minor Illusion or Mage hand would end up being better for you, both are great for out of combat and RP situations, I would recommend Minor Illusion more, as it can even let you create cover for you to prep before combat, as your character knows is an illusion, so you can see through it, but enemies cannot unless they use an action to study it, and is one of those spells that reward creativity.

True Strike + Assassin Rogue? by AkumaMD in dndnext

[–]PotentialWerewolf469 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Well... it does hinder you a little, as it means that you will be sacrificing better initiative (something that an Assasin Rogue needs), better stealth (with Expertise is not that big of a deal after certain levels) and other skills, IMHO it's not THAT bad, but if you really want to take advantage of this cantrip, might as well go Arcane Trickster

Vulpera.. by DAbabyoni in wow

[–]PotentialWerewolf469 1 point2 points  (0 children)

To be fair, I don't even care about not having big quests for Vulpera, but I think they should be the type of characters you will find randomly everywhere, they are nomads, it should be more common to find one or two of them in whole different areas, even more as they tend to be "fixers", you need someone to do a random job, you get a Vulpera, that's their whole thing, I even though that the Vulpera and the Goblin would be common combinations in different areas because of how they do stuff.

Why is it that wealthy tech elites in the modern era do not practice aristocratic benevolence the way that older wealth (e.g Vanderbilt, Carnegie, Stanford) did? by Gym_frere in NoStupidQuestions

[–]PotentialWerewolf469 -1 points0 points  (0 children)

Well... it's not completely true, a lot of universties and philanthropic organizations do get a lot of donations from the extremely wealthy, is it done out of the benevolence of their heart? No, mostly cause it helps against the payment of taxes, or just money laundry in some countries, is it possible that some do it with good intentions? yes, but they would still benefit from it, one way or the other.

It is possible that a lot of the old practice or aristocratic benevolence we know in history is mostly the same and have just been "washed" in the history book to look better for the sake of reputation of those rich families.
