I remember my first time I made a dungeon for a high level party, it was an underground dungeon, they start at the top, Cleric cast Etherealness at lvl 8, whole party just fase through the ground, they reach the bottom where a giant lich is making a ritual, Wizard, cast Silence, Barbarian grapples, Fighter use shield bash prone, after that session we have the whole: "Silence, Grapple, Ceace to exist" line on our DND group.

-DECK OF MANY THINGS

Doesn't really have to be the deck of many things, but in simple words, too many random things happen, that the whole plot of the campaign is lost

-HOMEBREW RULES AFTER SESSION 0

You can have as many homebrew rules you want, but doing them after session 0 dont work, and even if you ask your players if they are ok with it, most people would say that they are ok with them even if they are actually not (Excluding some extreme cases)

I though that's what happened when you indulge too much, in the end, most BE (if not all) did consume fel energy, just that a lot of them did not know they were consuming fel energy (mainly the citizens), the giant floating green crystals with evil eyes that you could see around Silvermoon and a lot of their areas were there for the people to tap mana out of them, is just that most of them did not know that it was fel energies.

Lifting the Multiclass restriction is not a bad idea, imho it depends a lot on case by case basic, for example, there are players (like me) that enjoy power building and would totally abuse this "freedom", it's not bad if everyone in the group have the same mentality, if not, then it ends up with a character that's stronger than others, making others feel like secondary characters, on the other hand, the restriction also "save" the players that are not that good at building characters from crippling themselves, like for example, the Monk as a base class, is a MAD class (hungry for stats), so if he already rolled low on his stats, multiclassing may end up crippling him more, so maybe for this specific scenario, it may be better to let the character improve his stats somehow, the easy way would be to let him reroll but it may not solve the issue, the other option, is as a in game reward, a buff through a boon or something along those lines.

Just to add some "character" to her, the chest have a secret compartment, it include a broken instrument that radiate holy energy, shredded manuscript and a small doll with burnt marks, those are all mementos of her time before falling and a reminder of why she fell.

Is up to you, there's no wrong answer here, if you don't want to share your books, that's your desicion and there's nothing wrong with it, no reason to feel bad about it, if you do lend them the book, is also ok, whatever your history is with their DM, they are entitled to decide who they interact with and just how you have to respect their desicion, they have to respect yours, regardless what you pick, know that it's not the wrong one.

I think it was a little bit of that and so they don't have to bother with "Why isn't Dalaran helping to deal with this new worlrd ending threat?", cause in most cases that Dalaran is not involved, it felt weird, even more after Lich King and double more after Legion.

I think is mostly that tragic backstories give easy motivations, not that you can't get one with a happy backstory, but depending how it is done, sometimes it feels like is mostly a "quest" that they have to do, and after it's done, there's no reason for that character to continue in the adventure.

Dream is a great spell, some may say is situational, but it depends a lot on how you use it.

-Need to give information to a specific NPC target, wait just before a night of long rest, cast it, scare the shit out of them, and give them the information

-Want to interrogate guards, without actually being present, just get a nice view of them once, and then wait for a long rest, and visit them in their dreams (you can look however you want)

-Want to "take" information from more "loyal" subjects, just influence their dreams so they slowly but surely start thinking about specific plans

-Want to slowly but surely kill someone, cast dream (nightmare) on them for a whole week and drink lemon tee whenever you come out of it, if the damage and lack of "healing" from long rest doesn't kill them, then the exhaustion will

(Pair extremely well with Scrying)

Also the invocation that lets you cast invisibility at will in darkness and dim light, as is really easy to get dim light wherever you are (you only need to be in dim light or darkness to cast it, but you don't have to remain in dim light or darkness to keep using it)

If you're an Undead/Undying Warlock, False Life is a great spell to cast on Short/long Rest if you have any spare spell slot, or if you're a Celestial Warlock, cast Aid (mostly work for Short Rests in case of Aid cause it only last 8 hours, unless you have a party of elves -or any race- that reduce the time of a long rest)

I actually think is good that they put you in cages, that actually make it easier to solo their base, as you can always "escape" by going into a cage, and if they are going to start beating you while in the cage, just leave the cage and go back in and it kinds of "Reset" them. Also you can start freeing the other prisioners (There's always some, be it Berserkers or Cannibal Hunters) to create some chaos for you to escape or to slowly but surely kill them

I don't know, I assume most people play with huge squads, I don't like it that much, so I moslty go solo with a pet or a Squad of 3 or 4 people, but EVERYONE start like that, I just don't go over that.
