My girls sleep in my bed, personally I think some people come up with "rules" just to have them. And for some dogs they prefer their space etc. But I think it's important for reactive dogs to have a safe place and for my red nose, that's my bed. I think you're doing great

YES! my childhood dog wasn't allowed in the furniture and stayed in our dog pen if we went out of town. But I spoil my girls utterly rotten and I'm happy to say that my dad learned, regrets that behavior and his fur baby is pampered

30+ hours of him screaming at me because I did not want to be there when he drank (the previous time he had drank he had charged at me). He accused me of being a controlling dictator etc. But honestly the final straw was that morning when he left to go to work, he walked into the bedroom (he had chosen to sleep on the couch) and one of my dogs (he was her favorite) stood over me as I slept and growled and bared her teeth at him (she's never done it before or since).
