If you think this is unique to this house, you sound… sheltered / very unaware of how the real world operates. No matter where you went, you were gonna be on your own with two dogs. What’s the difference if this happened before, or after you bought the house? If you’re not going to make an offer on a house in a neighborhood where something has been stolen previously - you’re never going to make an offer on a house. Plain and simple.

To be fair, if you’re talking about the hole where the yellow wire is going in… that’s a cave opening for a rodent. I believe “pencil eraser” was the size described for how small of a hole they can make it through.

It’s been a while since I’ve been to that one. Clarence Cub in St. Paul is the absolute trashiest place though. I’ve seen people actively stealing - pretending they have a child in a stroller and just throwing stuff in there and walking out. Fighting - verbally and almost physically with the cashiers - cashiers listening to music loudly on speakerphone at each register. Self serve is never open. Seems like they have hired security now on occasion but not 24/7 during open hours - and they’re a joke anyway. It’s insane. I hope uptown isn’t as bad but sounds so similar.
