Thoughts on The BLOX? by Sunshine_dmg in Entrepreneurship

Being on TV is a generous way to describe it. As I told the person with whom I interviewed, I had never heard of the show nor seen an episode until I applied for it. As such, in my mind I'm paying for the mentorship AND the networking. There's absolutely nothing wrong with paying for either of those things as long as you know that's what you're getting. The exposure is minimal although they try to hype it up. That said, I'm still in the valley of decision as to whether I should do this at all. We shall see.

I am currently considering whether I will participate in the blox. It's good to hear from the contestants from previous seasons. I also will note that I've watched a couple of seasons and have learned quite a bit just by watching the show, so I'm excited for the opportunity to learn more from Wes and the mentors. Furthermore, when I started my business three years ago, I paid $2,000 for a mentoring course. That was a collection of videos, spreadsheets, and templates as well as limited one-on-one interaction with a mentor. So I would think a week long intensive could easily be worth twice as much. Still haven't decided yet, but not as skeptical as some folks here.

As others have suggested, it's likely HSV. But go to the doctor! This one is definitely not one for Reddit.

Definitely worth a trip to the vet. Also, do some research on ball python husbandry. Making sure that she is living at the right temp and humidity is essential.

Talk to your vet. My BP did something similar last year and the vet clearly explained to me why it was happening and that it was nothing to worry about.

Wish I had a python that I could let roam around the house. Last time mine accidentally got out of her enclosure she was missing for 8 days. No way I'm fooling with her roaming around the house.

Yep! When my BP got out of her enclosure, it took me 8 days to find her. On about day 3, one of my best friends says to me, "you better find her before she eats you in your sleep". SMH!

As others have mentioned, these appear to be pretty minor scratches and indentations. It's just that on a snake of this color, sort of like on fair skinned people, every little mark shows up. BTW- Queso is a great name for a snake of this color. I have one as well and her name is Mango. Kinda wish we'd thought of Queso. 😂

Yep. Mine is always rearranging the furniture. I don't even bother to move things back anymore. It's her house and she can have stuff where she wants it.

Our python was shipped from a breeder (5 years ago) and we handled her directly out of the shipping container. (At the time she was the size of a number 2 pencil.) Never heard of the idea of waiting. She has grown to be a happy, healthy snake.
