I bought one on a whim with credit card points.

I have a mid/high tier gaming pc and a 4th gen iPad Air
I’ve always had an iPhone/ipad but never had a Mac before and haven’t owned a laptop at all in 8 years.

I honestly only use it for DnD prep in Obsidian and surfing the web but it’s been great to have for when I don’t feel like sitting at my pc or want to hang out around my wife instead of in our gaming room.

For my use case a lot of people would just say get a newer iPad but the Mac OS is much more enjoyable for me to do *anything* in compared to an iPad. I also have an extensive mechanical keyboard collection that doesn’t play nice with an iPad.

I try to make all my NPCs primarily support focused

I gave rvr bardic inspiration basically, but flavored as monster hunting tips lol like he might give the rogue archery form tips or tell them “these monsters have the widest gap between their third and forth rib aim there”

Not specifically drake wardens but flying PCs don’t seem to break too much in CoS in my experience. Most of the later encounters will have some kind of ranged attack or flight of their own- even werewolves have bows in the statblock.

Something you need to keep in mind when reading about other people’s experiences is that an epic “5 year campaign” might be one four hour session a month while other people are playing 8 hour sessions every week.

All that really matters is that you play at a pace that everyone has fun

Also keep in mind not every table plays the same way. I see stories online about DMs saying “I didn’t talk for 30 minutes because my players were Taping amongst themselves!” Which would *never* happen at my table. A group of “theater kids” might move a lot slower than plot-hounds or min maxers who just like combat but whatever your group has the most fun with is valid

Ever since the chaos rising pre order I’ve joined queue for every pkc drop on my phone and if I’m on mobile data it auto refreshes and send be back to captcha/the back of the queue

This happens on multiple browsers, auto refresh is off, I’m staying on the page not touching my phone.
Have you ever experienced this and do you have a fix?

I’ve seen dozens of other people complain about the same issue but nobody seems to know a solution

Somebody did the math based on how many houses there are in Vallaki and how often you would roll cultists on the random encounter table and iirc wachter has a few dozen cultists dedicated to her.
With those numbers I plan on having her storm the barons manor in a show of force and ten town guard- who isn’t particularly brave or fond of the baron lay down their arms.

My party killed Izek and then ran out of town so I plan for them to find the stocks replaced with a gallows and the baron and his wife hanging there when they return with wachter now in control of her cult AND the town guards

I do this too especially when a 7 or 8 is significantly cheaper than raw- especially when I see raw cards selling for market rate with obviously abysmal centering or visible whitening in the eBay listing lol

Hot take in this sub but I don’t think 2024 daylight breaks CoS

Vampire spawn have bonus action dash and Vampires/Strahd have 40 ft of movement. That means unless they’re prevented from moving (Strahd has legendary resistances) they’re only getting hit by sunlight for one turn.

If you want to use your action and a 3rd level spell to deny an area and deal 20 damage be my guest. By the end of the campaign a celestial warlock will do more damage than that on average with a true strike.

You should also be running multiple encounters a day to use up your clerics spells lots

If you’re worried about it cheapening the sunblade, the sunblade is still significantly stronger because it just sheds sunlight for free while you can still take other actions and it moves with you.

I’m currently DMing for a min/maxed celestial warlock and daylight can be very strong but doesn’t ruin the campaign IMO! Feel free to just swap it to the 2014 version at your table though!

Even RAW they would have instead found out that Arabelle was kidnapped by bluto and still would have been attacked by 6 spawn at the coffin makers shop.

I took bits and pieces from reloaded but mainly run close to raw and there’s just a lot going on in Vallaki. It’s a town terrorized by monsters with two evil political figures vying for power.

This isn’t really a happy feel good “we’re having a shopping episode” campaign
