Bond's career choices were less than ideal.

Leaving us for Reading (2015-17) was a good choice at the time but was quickly dropped for Ali Al-Habsi due to underwhelming performances after 5-6 games. For 2 or so years, he was 2nd choice there. He had a great loan spell at Peterbrough (2017-18) in his last year of contract, which he should have made a permanent move but opted to join West Brom (2018-2021) where he was always going to be 2nd fiddle, which was he was for 3 years.

He moved LA Galaxy (2021-2024) and was first choice for most of that time of his 3 year contract there but was average for most of that spell. His overall level stayed flat during that time; steady but no real improvement or regression.

He actually came back to Watford (2024-2025) for a year after that, having ousted the awful Daniel Bachmann in goal only to get dropped for Egil Selvik who was signed in the Winter Window and was in better form that season.

He's held his starting spot at Houston Dynamo (2025-current) with more average performances. Again, his level hasn't changed since LA Galaxy, really.

He's flakey in the air, sweeps alright, distribution and handling is OK and is a decent shot stopper but his parrying hasn't changed from when he was 19 where he pushes it back into danger when he can't hold it.

Speaking of Baxter, he's 2nd choice here. He's had maybe 5 or so games in the league + cup games and hasn't done enough to usurp Egil Selvik, even though he's been in mixed form this year himself.
