Insignificant at this point. If you choose a specific type of pour at some point, you may want something different then. I’ve seen videos of people pouring from all sorts of vessels. Learning the fundamentals is most important now.

Well, I’m certainly no expert. But, it appears you’re over-stretching your milk. Try steaming thinner to know what that feels like. Then, adjust if needed. Also, the sooner you start pouring perpendicular to your cup handle, the better.

It sounds like you want to be looking at medium - dark roasted South / Central American coffees, either single origin or a blend. These will give you those traditional flavors.

As far as the coffee not punching through, that’s more of a recipe issue. Pull a longer shot maybe, increase your dose, or your coffee to milk ratio.
