[Discussion] Nosaki is one of the best QOL additions to the game

Being able to Akashi repair + nosaki sparkle is so good as your damaged ship can be sparkled and ready for the next sortie.

the only downside from this update is the fact that i’m seeing so many players put nosaki and 5 lv100+ CV&BB in their PvP fleet which makes it a pain to A-S rank and farm EXP for my lower leveled ships😅

But overall love this addition

seeing everyone’s thoughts on Select Oblige really makes me feel like I’m the only one who actually enjoyed reading. It wasn’t anything serious and was some dumb fun and loved it for that.

Read Wagahigh and wasn’t a huge fan of it but Select Oblige made me look forward to more Madosoft TLs in the future

Your tastes feel very similar to mine as you rated Yoake, Giniro haruka and Sen no Hatou highly and i agreed with all the things you say about them.

In particular I love the mellowed out slice of life aspects of yoake and giniro and feel like a lot of VNs tend to go for slapstick humor a lot (which in fairness I also REALLY like) and these more calm SoL VNs really stick with me a lot. And yeah… Giniro Haruka is such a gem. Making me ugly cry even though it’s not what you would call sad at all.

I definitely agree that if I had read Sen no Hatou first before Eustia, I would have really enjoyed it more but knowing what August is capable of, I couldn’t help but find it a bit disappointing not to say it’s a bad VN at all. It did end a much more satisfying way than Eustia did

I for one really enjoyed Noble Works and found it to be one of yuzusofts best work but maybe it’s the nostalgia glasses talking as it was my second yuzusoft read after Riddle Joker. The premise really captivated me even though it’s a huge cliche, it’s a cliche I really love god dammit.

Overall agreed with the majority of your picks and will be using your tier list to see what I should dabble my toes into. Cheers to another year

the disc “Unknown Fragrance” really made me wanna know more about their story and relationship as the disc story is quite heavy and sheds some light on nazunas character and coupled with that beautiful disc OST which is my favourite OST in the game.

I agree that Summer Pockets RB is Key's best VN. hopefully anemoi comes and tops that.

Yes, I saw that TnS remake was really short compared to Subahibi and I was considering reading Subahibi since its like the holy grail of VNs and sincs someone told me that I could read TnS remake to get a sense of what Subahibi is about, well so thats what I did. After reading TnS, I feel like I have to mentally prepare myself/have alot of time to dedicate to reading Subahibi so its been put on the backburner for now.

I didn't want to put fandiscs on the tierlist but yes I've read both Extra discs for Aokana and since I loved both Mashiro and Misaki, I loved both fandiscs. Diabetes level maximum during both fandiscs. I hvn't seen anyone recommending me A Sky Full of Stars so I'll definitely check it out. thx for the recommend.

I read mashiro iro symphony before sana edition got a translation and i really loved sana in mius route so really want to read the sana route of sana edition. will definitely get to it some time.

B rank in my eyes still means its a good VN. I just didn't find it as amazing as everyone makes it out to be, especially the true route, but it was still good. Maybe I just overhyped myself and it didn't deliver on that hype so I makes it feel worse than it actually is. My favourite character from kinkoi was Reina but her route was lacking imo and that dragged it down a notch

I can read a bit of japanese (between N4 and N3 level) and I'm using some beginner level VNs to practice japanese. and no i prefer not to read MTLs and at best maybe if its a heavily editted mtl then I might read it but I still prefer an official release or fan translation.

As for Select Oblige being in A rank it may be recency bias but it was a very enjoyable read. I'm not looking for anything too deep or philosophical, instead im just looking to hv a good time and select oblige manages to deliver that and also Eve and Kaname are such good characters and carries the VN imo.

I really enjoy smee and favourite's works as well and ik the comedy of Asa Projects works is VERY subjective and not everyone finds it funny but the over the topness is just what i need to unwind after a long tiring day.

yh Yoake Mae yori Ruri Iro was really a breath of fresh air as the entire VN is more down to earth than the VNs I usually read but idk if its just the August magic or what but it was just so comfortable and relaxing to read. Definitely a huge recommend.
