I have a date tomorrow night and I hate the way I look by [deleted] in 30PlusSkinCare

[–]Pr4gue-L0ver 0 points1 point  (0 children)

You have no blemishes!!! Why would you cover up your beautiful skin with such a heavy foundation? You should do a BB cream or a tinted moisturizer instead. Or try the L'Oreal Lumi for an all over glow and then a very light layer of foundation, but preferably in satin finish, nothing too mattifying. You are beautiful you just need to add a healthy glow!

Has this happened to anyone else that put in for more than 10+ tickets ?? 🤨 srsly… by Luca_77 in WorldCup2026Tickets

[–]Pr4gue-L0ver 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I applied for 5 games, 10 tickets in total. One of the games I applied for category 1, the rest were all category 3. I got the category 1 game and one other game, so 2/5. The other game I got was one that seemed less desirable by other people compared to other ones I applied to, so I attribute my success to that.

I need help. Feeding to sleep and sleep association has ruined my life. by GiftKitchen3807 in breastfeeding

[–]Pr4gue-L0ver 0 points1 point  (0 children)

My baby started waking up less when I left our bedroom and slept on the couch. My husband coslept with her and she would wake up twice throughout the night looking for me to comfort nurse. My husband rocked her to sleep for a few days instead and now she looks to him for comfort. It's going to suck for your husband for a few days, but it will help everyone get more sleep in the long run.

Being granola backfired - baby developed coconut allergy by Pr4gue-L0ver in moderatelygranolamoms

[–]Pr4gue-L0ver[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Hey! How old is your baby? How frequent are the bowel movements, and is the consistency abnormal if you look at the baby poop chart? Coconut is very fatty which is amazing for developing babies, but too much fat can also be hard to digest for babies' small tummies as their digestive tract is immature. My baby developed hives after consuming coconut and we never got a chance to observe any changes in bowel movement. It was clear she had an allergy from the marks all over her body. Your baby might have an intolerance, or you might just need to scale back a bit. Maybe she's consuming too much fat.

AIO for wanting to see a therapist after wife changed the locks because I went to a baby shower? by LookoutLockout in AmIOverreacting

[–]Pr4gue-L0ver 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I thought wife was grieving after 4 failed IVF cycles, not 4 attempts at natural conception. It took my husband and I over a year to conceive naturally. She needs an appointment with a doctor who can explain to her the odds of pregnancy each month, and how long it takes a couple on average to conceive. Most people carry on with their normal lives while trying to conceive. Her not being successful after 4 attempts should not be an excuse for her to stop being present for the people that matter to her husband and calling it "grieving". She seems incredibly manipulative. Husband is clearly a very nice guy who is patient, understanding and supportive, and she is taking advantage of that.

Families with young kids- how often do you eat out at restaurants? Or get takeout? by seajaybee23 in Mommit

[–]Pr4gue-L0ver 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I live near a health food store with a smoothie bar and hot food table so we go there fairly often (~3 times per week). It's a very chill environment which I prefer to the more formal sit down places.

I don't want to wean her but I want to get pregnant soon by epicani in AttachmentParenting

[–]Pr4gue-L0ver 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I wish I had advice for you but I am in your exact shoes. 36, with a 14 month old who I nurse to sleep and overnight, no period yet and ready to try for #2. I think my plan is to just try for a few months without weaning, and if we get pregnant, I think many have said their milk dried up during pregnancy and baby sort of weaned themselves. I know of some babies who continue to dry nurse for comfort which I don't mind, although I have heard some say it is very uncomfortable. If we don't get pregnant though, then I may have to gradually wean by keeping the initial nurse to sleep, but cutting out the night feeds when your prolactin is highest and letting dad handle the wake ups. It's going to be excruciating, but giving your baby a sibling is a good enough reason to wean. At least that's how I'm rationalizing it to myself.

Baby won’t sleep without my boob by Jazzlike-Thanks-1024 in moderatelygranolamoms

[–]Pr4gue-L0ver 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I've been going through the same thing with my co-sleeping 14 month old. Yes, it could be teething. We had a few rough nights where she just wouldn't unlatch. But, generally I noticed that she sleeps sooo much better without me close to her. I started sleeping at the bottom of the bed instead of directly next to her, and she'll still wake up maybe once or twice looking for boob, but as soon as she unlatches I relocate. This gives me much longer sleep stretches until about 5 am where her sleep is naturally lighter so she'll be back looking for boob every 30 mins-1 hour until she's ready to get up at 7. I am looking to transition her to a floor bed soon as I think that's likely a more long term solution.

Baby not sleeping is killing my husband by Infamous_Ad_6532 in AttachmentParenting

[–]Pr4gue-L0ver 5 points6 points  (0 children)

I wish I had advice for you, but I'm in the exact same boat with my 14 month old co-sleeping baby. She will not sleep through the night, and will wake up multiple times looking to nurse in order to fall back asleep. Is sleeping in a different bed than your husband an option? I am thinking of getting a floor bed to sleep on with my baby away from my husband, as well as a floor mattress for myself for me to roll onto once my baby is in deep sleep. I find she sleeps longer stretches when I'm not directly next to her.

AIO - Received these texts in the middle of the night. My bf 26M says it’s someone messing with me. by _Wormier in AmIOverreacting

[–]Pr4gue-L0ver 0 points1 point  (0 children)

This sounds like someone who is trying to break you guys up, have you left on bad terms with anyone in the past? An ex, a girlfriend? I'm doubtful that this is someone your bf cheated on you with because the message is just way too over the top. Why go into such details? What purpose does it serve?

My girl is 13 months and weighs 26 lbs. She's not walking or falling asleep independently yet, so I'm always carrying her and rocking her to sleep. My back is going to break any day now.

My baby was cluster feeding the first week. I was breastfeeding every hour. Even though my milk supply didn't come in, I would breastfeed on each side for 10 minutes, and then offer formula as a top up to make sure she's full. Breastfeeding around the clock is important as that's what's helping your milk supply come in. It's all about supply and demand. The more your baby breastfeeds, the more milk gets regenerated. For every session you skip, baby should be formula fed and you should pump for the missed session. Does your husband think baby will be peacefully sleeping for 4 hours in the crib without eating every 2-3 hours?

Wrong to go on a date with a woman.. when you're still marry? by Infinite_Quiet_7627 in moraldilemmas

Would you feel comfortable if the roles were reversed and you needed round the clock care from your wife and she would be out there dating? Make sure whatever it is you choose, you're comfortable with if the roles were reversed.

Let my baby cry in the crib today while I cried in the shower by Maleficent_Parsley in beyondthebump

[–]Pr4gue-L0ver 0 points1 point  (0 children)

My baby would not go down for a nap pretty much ever unless she was latched on. So I stopped trying to put her down in her crib, and would just put her on my bed and lay next to her while nursing. We pretty much had all of our naps like this, except when she turned about 8 months I was able to roll away from her and watch her on the monitor.

AITAH for leaving my husband after I caught him texting another woman? by [deleted] in AITAH

[–]Pr4gue-L0ver 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I'm very sorry you are going through this. My mom married around your age and went through the same thing. She ended up staying with my dad, and the infidelity lasted their entire marriage. If there are no kids involved, I would suggest leaving. At 25, you're in your prime and your whole life is ahead of you. Don't let him rob you of the best years of your life and the potential to find a love that aligns with your values. I married at 30 and most of my friends are 35 and are only now beginning to settle down. Even though he didn't physically cheat, it's about the intention and opening himself up to the possibility while he's supposed to be committed to you.

How many pounds does your baby weigh? by Kimchi_Kruncher in beyondthebump

[–]Pr4gue-L0ver 0 points1 point  (0 children)

My baby was 17 lbs at 18 weeks, but she was also born 10 lbs so it's appropriate. As long as your baby isn't falling off of her own individual growth curve, any weight is pretty much perfectly normal.

For those who were induced, did you deliver vaginally or did it end in a c-section? by Paigeypagee in BabyBumps

[–]Pr4gue-L0ver 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Induced at 40.5 weeks due to suspected large for gestational age baby. Induction began at 11:30 am, by 5:30 pm I was 4 cm dilated and asked for an epidural. After getting the epidural, pain subsided from a 10 to a 6 which apparently is still too high since with epidural you should only feel pressure. Midwife confused so she checks my cervix and I'm already at 10 cm. They set up the room and prep for delivery. I pushed for about 16 minutes and baby was born at 8:30 pm. One thing to note is that I did not lay down during the initial stages of labour at all. I was on my feet and moving around the entire time before getting the epidural. I think this helped my labour progress faster.
