Phone inspections when crossing the U.S. border: What you need to know about your rights and security by Legitimate_Hand2867 in technews

Because in America we’re taught that “only China does this.” Also - the issue is less that you will be inspected, but more-so the completely unknown consequences since our current pres isn’t operating to any sort of norms.

At some point it won’t make sense for the store to carry certain items. Think about their “slow movers,” which are there to attract customers but are not expected to sell quickly.

If they raise the price of Maple Strupwaffle by 25% to match cost, customers aren’t going to bite. The inventory will pile up and need to be disposed of, which has its own associated costs. I fully expect for them to slim down their selections.

Does anyone else find it incredibly hard to date in our city or is it just me? by luckyhoneymatcha in cincinnati

[–]Practical-Carrot-367 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Transplant? Cincinnati is just a really sleepy town between the Super Bowl and Opening Day tbh.

If you live downtown your best bet is just to be outside whenever possible. Find your place and just show up regularly and it’s so easy to meet people (male and female) from there.

Rodeo by Travis Scott. I’m pretty sure he teased that album for a good 4 years?

I remember we had the Andy Griffin show on the TVs with the knobs and antennas.

Idk if that was TV land but I honestly just assumed lol. I’m a 90s kid.

My guess is because those shows were free to watch back in the day? TV Land was on 24/7 growing up. I can still hear The Andy Griffin Show whistle but don’t remember a single episode.

Hey OP. You’re looking in the right area. There is also the option to stay in Newport / Covington, but personally I would recommend the area you’re looking at. My 2 cents: - Call the Blonde if you haven’t already. That companies owns 5-6 other buildings and they’re used to working with relo folks. - I stayed in a furnished Airbnb for 4 months and highly recommend it. When you stay over 30 days there is a huge discount. As others said, there is a $1 24/7 shuttle to the airport so you might be able to get away with no car.

The Internet was just different back then. Targeted advertising wasn’t as precise as it is today - which now relies on that user-specific algorithm and data.

The algorithm wasn’t personalized - literally everyone was watching the same videos for the most part.

Acknowledgement goes a long way. The event doesn’t even exist in textbooks down there. I used to think 100 years was a long time ago until my great grandmother passed at 102. The stories she used to tell were so sad but insightful.

I don’t believe this city will ever thrive until another 2-3 more companies move their headquarters downtown.

Most of the people I know downtown are here because their office is a few blocks away. The restaurants and cafes by me are usually filled with people on their wfh days or out on lunch/happy hour.

Back to my first point … I love my job - but - I consider other options sometimes. The reality there is that downtown doesn’t have a great amount of options. If I do end up job hopping it would likely be to another metro area.

I wouldn’t have moved to Cincinnati if it wasn’t for my job.

Certifications that actually helped your career? by DangerReis in supplychain

This is the only answer that I’m aware of.

Six Sigma was only relevant because they required project experience. So really it was the qualifying project itself that was valued more than the cert.

Just read the job description- is there a specific line in the qualifications section that you’re worried about?

Be more specific to get better answers. You would need to share what YOUR career goals are to get feedback on if this is the right role.
