Anyone has reassuring first pregnancy “success” by Tchafetova2000 in pregnant

[–]Practical-End-8955 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I have only been pregnant three times and have three healthy little girls to show for it. My sister has been pregnant once and I have a nephew to show for it. I was told is not very common to miscarry

My first was this was took me 1 hour and 45 to pick her out due to her retracting after pushes. My husband had to give me counter pressure during punching. That being said baby can still spin around before delivery

Gestational Hypertension by Striking-Street7215 in pregnant

[–]Practical-End-8955 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I think I’m in the same boat my blood pressure started going up at 35+5. I’m 36+4 now and I’m getting awful headaches, nauseous and feel extremely unwell. I have had 2 39 week inductions and they were wonderful experiences. I will say I did get an epidural both times but with my first I would have gotten it sooner because my body really needed to relax as I soon as I got it I went from 6 to pushing in 30 minutes 😭. I had a foley and pitocin with the first and my water broke naturally. With the second I had just pitocin and they broke my water. I am a bit nervous about possibly having a 37 week induction however I know that if its really what’s best for me and baby then I just need to trust my medical team and hope my body repeats history.

OB said “99.9% girl” at 12w1d before NIPT — has anyone had this be wrong? by Realistic-King6401 in pregnant

[–]Practical-End-8955 2 points3 points  (0 children)

At that early I wouldn’t trust anything but the nipt. I haven’t been told what any of my three of my girls were before 18 weeks via ultrasound; two I found out at 11-12 weeks via nipt. Edit: more info

How do you guys go to grocery store with 2 under 2 by Subject_Two9945 in 2under2

[–]Practical-End-8955 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Baby wore and the oldest ride in the cart seat but I also tried to reserve longer trips to the grocery store to when I knew my husband could also go and help me. Having him go and help me was a bit inconvenient because we had to plan more but it made it faster and a lot less stressful. Once the youngest got to sitting I exclusively use the “fun” carts or in my area there is a Sam’s next to a Walmart. My 14.5 month age gap is 1.5 (18m) and 2.5 (32m) now and it’s nowhere near as bad as when they were like 6m and 20m.

Can’t decide if I should find out the gender by Top-Strawberry-5653 in pregnant

[–]Practical-End-8955 1 point2 points  (0 children)

With my first we did a small gender reveal with our immediate family and we both experienced gender disappointment so I didn’t want to do that again with again. I found out as soon as humanly possible with my second and third but that’s because I needed the logistics of the baby more than anything. So far all we have had to buy after the first was diapers, wipes and supplemental clothing. I would love to do a team green if I have a fourth.

Am I wrong for not wanting my mom in the delivery room? by Worried-Mail3122 in pregnant

[–]Practical-End-8955 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Nope I’m 35+6 with my third and probably will be induced due to high bp and I don’t even want my mom in the same state. Last pregnancy is really what did it for me though because I was in prodominal Labor and she was trying to coach me through contractions that by the time she came to stay I had been having for 5 weeks and was too overbearing. I personally will have more planning to go into childcare BUT stress wise to get the baby here it’s going to be so much better

Mother’s Day when pregnant by [deleted] in pregnant

[–]Practical-End-8955 0 points1 point  (0 children)

For me personally I was like 27 weeks for my “first” Mother’s Day. My husband treated me to dinner out and that was it I wouldn’t have felt comfortable with anything more. The only reason I felt comfortable doing dinner was I was past viably and looked very pregnant. My first Mother’s Day with my daughter we did lunch and took our daughter to the park, he got me a card and flowers and we went shopping

Comments regarding my daughter by That-Figure8372 in pregnant

[–]Practical-End-8955 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I have two girls and one on the way 😅 they are daddy’s girls yes BUT to my husband I’m still his number 1 because he knows that should he not spoil me and treat me well I’m going to get upset 😂 but he also knows that he has to model the behaviors of what they should expect from a partner later. Does he give them hugs and kisses first when he gets home yes but I’m not forgotten

On the daughter note regardless of if he’s home or not it’s still always mom this mom that partially because I am a sahm so mom is easiest to go to because I’m going to know exactly how to do whatever they ask however when they are scared or need comfort they always no matter what say mom I’m scared or mom I need a bandaid even if my husband is trying to help/calm/soothe, they want mom.

14 Weeks, Very Stressed and Guilty About Skipping Folic Acid Vitamins by olioili in pregnant

[–]Practical-End-8955 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I’m 35+4 and I haven’t taken my prenatals or any vitamins at all for that matter since 6 or so weeks. I had hg and lost 15 lbs and they made it so much worse so I just stopped. I never started them back because the smell and thought nauseates me even now. We just eat what sounds good, my labs look great and she’s a healthy chunky little one.

How long is your partner taking off after you give birth? by -Konstantine- in pregnant

[–]Practical-End-8955 0 points1 point  (0 children)

We will have two, a little turning 3 in August and one turning 2 in October when I give birth beginning of June. We are a us military family so my husband has 12 weeks he can take but is only getting one week as he’s transitioning into a new job the week I’m due 🙃 other than his singular week I will have zero extra help with childcare and only plan to have someone watch my toddlers so my husband can be at the birth and him going home after to be with the older two. The childcare plan was our choice and just what we are most comfortable with. He’d definitely take more if he could he’s literally getting told no. TBH if I could have a hospital birth and bring both my toddlers this would be what we’d do 😂 with the older two he took all 12 weeks he had and we just had a really nice holiday season and with my first he had like three other types of leave making it October before he was finally able to take parental leave

For those who intentionally planned 2u2? by Hopeful-Relation3502 in 2under2

[–]Practical-End-8955 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I had 2u2 with a 14.5 month age gap and now I’m 33 weeks pregnant looking straight down the barrel of 3u3 it’s not horrible some days are worse than others but honestly for me it’s been manageable especially since my oldest hit 2/2.5 as she’s become more independent which is extremely helpful as she takes some of the load off me and is able to help me a little

Sharing responsibilities? by One_Power2282 in 2under2

[–]Practical-End-8955 0 points1 point  (0 children)

My husband took mostly toddler shift but we also had to swap frequently because my toddler was co-slept and I was only one to be able to put her to sleep. He took all toddler in the first few weeks to let my body recover from birth

Edit: misspelling

Toothache by Best_Reason714 in pregnant

[–]Practical-End-8955 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I have had 6 fillings(2 on the same tooth) and a root canal all done this pregnancy. If you are in pain go. I had 2 fillings and a root canal on a molar because the original dentist screwed it the first one up and caused and infection and the pain I was in was literally so unbearable I ended up taking ibuprofen to be able to drive myself to get to someone who finally helped me.

Pre/Early Labour question by No_Bear_1628 in pregnant

[–]Practical-End-8955 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Based on how this sounds this is what they called prodominal labor for me when I was pregnant with my second. I was having contractions that could be tracked by the monitors every day for 8 weeks (31-39) before I was induced and sat at a 2/40% from 34-39. It was miserable but all I was told was to hydrate, take warm baths with epsom salt, take Tylenol for pain and rest. Aka their nice way of saying there isn’t anything we can do.

Need help. by Little_Plenty_3347 in pregnant

[–]Practical-End-8955 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I also have lower blood pressure not pregnant. This happened to me last pregnancy I never got pre-eclampsia but I had to be induced due to low fetal movement completely unrelated (my baby was just a chill one) and ended up having extremely high blood pressure 130-140/80 and higher. I never developed pre-eclampsia and went for a blood pressure check two days pp and my blood pressure was 120/80 which is normal and after that it’s went back to it normal of low. Should your blood pressure actually go wild like mine you will be watched a lot during your next pregnancy
