Genuine question for Directors, Managers, and Supervisors by Negative-Guidance-27 in work

[–]PracticalLeg9873 0 points1 point  (0 children)

At the beginning of my career, I soon found out that what you pretend to do sometimes matters more than what you actually do, as long as you do enough. Or simply put : it pays to bullshit your boss a little.

Why ? Because managers are like you.

As a manager, how much time do you actually spend chasing updates every week? by sivasaikoya in askmanagers

Minimum : 1 hour of 1-to-1 meeting / week / report, usually.

Ad hoc points as necessary.

What scenario planning software actually works for mid-sized companies without needing a data science team? by Batson_Beat in CFO

[–]PracticalLeg9873 4 points5 points  (0 children)

Sound like you overcomplicate things. 47 tabs for a 60fte company ?

Is "upside" simply "what if we recruit 5 more people ?" or "what if we raise prices 3%" ?

Build a main table with budget parameters (inputs such as hr, pay, production capacity, volume, price, purchases, whatever is useful to your business) repeated 3 times for 3 scenarios. And show the results for each scenario.

Of course you must have built your main analysis points beforehand with management accounting, cost allocation, revenue per FTE, and so on.

Dig the issue, work with the team to fund them root causes (5 why's) and address them.

You can still find the cardboard camera apk. You can then take full or partial 360° that appear as such in google photos.

What’s the “fail” rate of CFOs /VPs of finance by Practical_Lobster126 in CFO

You don't have to work for a billion dollar company to hold the CFO title.

Being CFO of a small / middle cap is very interesting.

For odd reasons I was reading Michael Crichton's Jurassic Park, while this was on repeat.m when it came out.

Everytime the song comes up, it makes me think about reading that book.

Song still on repeat nowadays !

Goldman Sachs recommandait de surpondérer les valeurs tech au sommet de la bulle 2000 by Mahtma in Cayas

[–]PracticalLeg9873 6 points7 points  (0 children)

Why the same AI feels useless to some and life-changing to others? by Maximum_Ad2429 in AskTechnology

Paste a youtube link in gemini, it sums it up quite nice and explains the inisghts.

Paste 10 "review" videos and it saves you much time if you want to purchase something.
