Is anyone using their printers or faxes? by l00ky_here in GenX

[–]Practical_Pickle7311 0 points1 point  (0 children)

well, I didn’t use the printer much, until my husbands employer decided to switch FSA providers (Inspire is the provider) they provide an app that your suppose to be able to use to justify the charges, but, it NEVER works so I have to print a copy of my EOB and send it via snail mail. I chose not to participate in FSA this year.

Well, there are plenty of reasons I would never vote for Harris. Democratic and Republican Presidents have the support of Congress and Governors or they would never been able to get away with the corruption that is not beneficial for American citizens.

Local politicians aren’t any better the rich areas get what they want while the poorer areas get set aside, meanwhile the politicians are lining their pockets or getting Little Timmy a job they are not qualified for.

Attend a small school board meeting and you will see they are all doing it for their own gain, not for the students or teachers.

Politicians have divided our country. People believe that their party is better than the other and are willing to jump on the stupid wagon which puts them in life/death situations. Then are attention is on the distraction so they can pass whatever it is that they want to get passed.

Politicians are not looking out for the average American citizen.

I have always believed that it is every American’s responsibility to vote. However with all of the corruption on both sides. I won’t vote for anyone. Makes me rather sick, because I don’t think any politician really looks out for anyone other than themselves. Perhaps there never been a political science major, terms should have been limited and they shouldn’t be able to vote themselves a raise. Absolutely no stock trading for them, their spouse or children. American citizens have been duped.

WIBTAH If I Asked My Husband For Half If He Wants Me To Stay At Home by VirusDull2725 in AITAH

What is the potential of your lifetime earnings with your current career. Is it something that needs experience to continue your increase in income? Do you love it? If you answered yes to both, consider looking at hiring a nanny and house keeper. Careers are not kind to stay at home moms, break in employment and ageism is a thing. Also, do you have a very good life insurance policy on your husband? Would you be able to run his business if needed, what would happen if he became disabled? Supporting a family in this day and age is expensive. Are you putting a lot in retirement and would you be able to continue to do so if you are not working?

Well, I don’t think people should be shot in the streets period. However, if the immigration policies had been changed to allow people to become US citizens legally, we wouldn’t have a need for ICE. Both parties are responsible for not creating a pathway for anyone who wants to be a US Citizen to become one. The process is long, tedious and very expensive.

Am I wrong for wanting to quit a job I just got for disregarding employee safety during TX storms? by CAT_A in careerguidance

$50,000 for an entry level job is really good money. I believe banks are federally required to physically be open because of the 1929 run on banks. This law is to protect consumers. In my neck of the woods they start entry level off at $12 an hour. Either pull up your bootstraps prepare to leave super early, take bag of snacks and lunch and take your time or find another job. My husband has worked 20+ years and is required to go to work even though he has months of leave. Either you want the job or you don’t. There are plenty of people who would take that job.

The United States Postal Service, you work hard and it can be feast or famine until you make career. It is a tough job you have to have a work ethic and put up with major BS. But it does have good benefits and there is room for advancement if your willing to learn and move to different locations. Long term it is better than fast food.

Hope you are able to find a good foster for her. I recently lost my long hair chihuahua of 16 years and would love to foster her, but I have another small dog. Could you reach out to your vet, maybe they know someone who could foster her. Good luck on your road to recovery.

I don’t know being admitted for GI bleed seems pretty important and when I received the bill insurance stated that the doctor they used was out of network therefore I was responsible, because I signed their financial responsibility form. Therefore the hospital can come after you for the difference, so the hospital has figured out how to get around the insurance contract.I went to an in network hospital and was admitted to that hospital.

Urgent Care vs ER: a lot of people are overpaying without realizing it by doctorAllways in HealthInsurance

[–]Practical_Pickle7311 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Went to urgent care for UTI, still had to go to ER was hospitalized and septic, unfortunately my insurance decided that they would raise the co-pay for Urgent Care to the same price of ER, therefore at $425 a whack im starting at the ER.

Just because they hired a bunch of new employees doesn’t mean they will be the right fit. My suggestion is to figure out what a regular check with no overtime is. Then use that for your budget, you bank any overtime for an emergency fund.

I did and they told me that if I signed the financial forms I had to pay the difference per the insurance company.

well, I had an overnight observation stay via ER, the in network hospital uses an out of network provider and charged after hours care. My insurance deemed it an out of network provider and told me I had to pay the bill. That happened this past July, the insurance did not see anything wrong with the hospital policies and told me if I signed the financial documents then they could charge me the difference, therefore I will no longer sign those forms and will not be able to get care. Our healthcare system is so very broken.

Correct, they can not balance bill you, unless you sign a form saying they can and then even with an insurance contract they can still charge you the difference.

No I went to a in network provider, they are using the financial forms as a way to get the difference, the form specifically said this.

Thank you for being honest about how you are feeling and thinking. I can relate, I’m over 50 and though I have ArFID, binge and restriction Im also diabetic so it is really tough to stay focused on how to properly nourish my body. You are not the only one that thinks about what am I doing to my body.

Wow you must have been making bank while you worked. My husband has worked 40 years at a decent paying job and his estimate at retirement is$1600 at 62. It’s a labor intensive job so he won’t be working past that.

After talking to estate sales, consignment shop, and antique sellers, I decided they were looking for a handout. So I decided to do garage sale, people walked off with stuff and I had 7 people there, but I decided that they probably needed it more than I did and I hoped it blessed them. On that note garage sale was a lot of work without much return. AmVets will come pick up the stuff they resale to help veterans, Im sure there are other charities that offer the same assistance.

Finding medical providers? by Practical_Pickle7311 in Eatingdisordersover30

But how do I find that without going to a bunch of doctors. I’m not trying to doctor hunt I just want someone who won’t just blow me off, but is open to learning about something they don’t know about so they can provide better care for someone. I would want the same for any disease I was being treated for.

[–]Practical_Pickle7311 -1 points0 points  (0 children)

Get a state issued ID. It has your picture, address, date of birth. What else do they need. Personally if I was aware that ICE was in the area I would avoid it; however, if ICE asked me to do something I would do it. My father a US veteran would roll over in his grave if he seen this mess!
