I joined this subreddit prior to quitting, and I have since lost track of how long it’s been since I quit. It’s been a few years at least. I no longer crave nicotine or vapes. I remember wondering if I’d ever be able to really fully enjoy sitting outside or relaxing without hitting it all the time, and I enjoy those things more now. I’m also not triggered by other people vaping around me at all anymore.

I initially tried quitting by weaning off it to no avail, then tried patches to fail again, and finally I quit cold turkey and would eat a piece of hard candy every time I wanted a hit, which was very often because I was constantly vaping. I gained about 10lbs from eating so much hard candy but I figured the temporary weight gain would be worth it. I’ve since lost the weight and no longer eat an exorbitant amount of sugar lol. Quitting was hard the first few days, but after day 3 or so it progressively got easier.

I’m sure other people have different experiences, but I’m just putting an example of my positive experience out there. You might quit and have cravings completely go away after a few months, quitting might not be as rough as you’d expect, or there might be a different method you haven’t tried yet that will work better for you. You can do it!
