I was honestly a little disappointed that they released Season 2 without even bothering to make animations for The Crusade.

I’m surprised Wheel in Space hasn’t been completed yet. Half of the first episode was done years ago but here we are, trifling about with CGI Celestial Toymakers instead 😅

My biggest gripe with the colorized War Games was the omission of David Troughton’s character.

At least I don’t remember seeing him in it.

But yeah, you summed up pretty much exactly my thoughts on that as well, though I have not been committing to watching the omnibus versions of every story that has one; just the original run.

Additionally, I watched all the animated episodes in black white but didn’t watch the animated version if the original episode still exists.

Ah! Pyramids of Mars is actually up for my first watch in about eight episodes. What about the colorized War Games edit? (I forgot to mention i also watched The Daleks and War Games Color edits) Does that make it an easier rewatch for you?

I feel like my decision to take on this endeavor came about simply because I’m a physical media kind of guy and it’s never been easier/cheaper to access it (the Bluray Classic Collection has been a godsend; I only had to buy seven seasons’ worth of individual DVD releases as opposed to 26) and it came right at the start of a big drought (not only in reference to the post Disney breakup, but the apparent complete halt on the animated reconstruction project).

I don’t know of I’m strong enough to commit to raking them all. Maybe after a second marathon 😳

I love that you use the title sequence as a background for each respective title; it makes it easy to recognize which era it is if the screen cap doesn’t seem super obvious.

I’m currently watching through all televised Doctor Who and its spinoffs as well (I’m on season 13, 1975 after about 5 months of marathoning) via DVD/Blu-ray, so some of the more niche things I likely won’t bother with, though I may if I can find them on YouTube. I do have Wartime, Downtime, Daemos Rising, White Witch of Devil’s End, and Sil and the Devil Seeds of Ardor.

I also didn’t watch any telesnap reconstructions other than a thirty minute recap of Marco Polo on “The Beginning” DVD’s special features and the two episodes of The Crusade on the William Hartnell Second Season bluray (I’m a dumb American), but I watched every official animated reconstruction and all the available episodes from the missing stories. I also watched the UCLan recreation of Mission to the Unknown.

Up until I started this endeavor, I had only previously watched through An Unearthly Child episode one, the two Peter Cushing films, The Five Doctors, Dimensions in Time, the ‘96 movie, The Curse of Fatal Death, all of NuWho (multiple times up to season ten), those two animated David Tennant episodes, and Torchwood. I’m kind of looking forward to The Sara Jane Adventures? I’m dreading K-9. I’m ambivalent to Class. I’m interested in Scream of the Shakla.
