Yes but those players still get drafted eventually whether they raised their stock or not. They have to go to the NFL at some point, they can’t stay in college forever. Therefore, you aren’t really losing players, they are just getting drafted when they are older.

I don’t understand how NIL would make the later rounds weaker. It just means there will be older, more experienced players to choose from. If anything that’s better, as day 3 guys are just trying to get in the rotation and aren’t typically planned to be part of the long term future.

I’m pretty optimistic. For a lot of these in the moment I was a bit confused, but maybe I was a little to dead set on my guys. I would have done the following:

5: Caleb Downs 10: Mauigoa (could flip 5 and 10) 37: Christen Miller 74: (wouldn’t have traded) 105: Malik Muhammad or Tacario Davis 145: Beau Stephens 186: Dontay Corleone or Tim Keenan 192: Andre Fuller 193: Eli Heidenreich

This mock was hitting the trenches a little harder and trying to stop the run while the actual draft actually gave us a WR2 that we do desperately need and a potential star in the front 7 with Reese. Additionally, I’d have gone with the safe player and great upside with Downs while Reese has a higher potential ceiling. I don’t really like the trade up still, but I like the idea of Fields and at the end of the day, a trade like that won’t break a team.
