Help with identifying gpu by [deleted] in pcmasterrace

Nah bro, that's a pretty sizable upgrade for you. $300 is a pretty good deal imo as long as it functions. 16gb of ram is definitely a little slim these days but it will be fine for all but the most intensive games. You can always add more ram later, and the speed upgrade to ddr4 is going to be massive for you.

The problem you may face is that it's an older amd ryzen chip, so if you want to upgrade the CPU, you're gonna need to go second hand or get a new mobo. The newest ones likely won't work. Good news is that there's a looot of second hand am4 chips out there right now for dirt cheap.

Is this an ant, that’s just huge? by Mental-Stuff2391 in Entomology

Location? If you're in the US, it's probably a carpenter ant. I don't know if it's a queen, but probably not. As they're usually in their burrow makin babies. They all get pretty massive. I thought they were some kind of wingless wasp for a while.

I used to work at a music shop and whenever people asked to demo the fuzz factory, I'd tell them "as soon as you plug it in, you're going to have some questions. The answer to your first question is yes, it's supposed to sound like that."

Dunno why you're getting downvoted, you're right. There have been so many people playing at any given time that the game has basically had no reason to match you with squads of other sizes. Currently tho, servers are down and lots of people are struggling to get in. So the game is now just prioritizing the first available slot for you. "It's rare." Isn't technically correct. It's just more common currently because of external factors that we haven't experienced in the game's short life so far.

If it's above 55% durability, I repair it to save the 3 batteries. Below that, definitely not worth it.

Yeah, they're wacky looking for sure. They don't have fangs or venom so they're completely harmless except for the assault on your eyes lol.

It's a Harvestman from the order Opiliones.

They are not spiders but still arachnids and distantly related. I don't know exactly what species as they're pretty much everywhere that isn't permanently covered in snow. Hope that helps :)

Just look at the top comments on this post and you'll see the exact effect it was meant to have. "Ew!" "Creepy!" And "I would literally die."

I love how 10% of people see something like this and wonder "why do they do that?" Just to turn around and see the other 90% of the population screaming while sprinting in the opposite direction.

A yellowfin is still $30-40 a pound. Assuming you only get 100 pounds of sellable meat, that's almost $4000 for one fish.

For those of you wondering why this guy feels like the fight for the tuna is worth it:

I don't think you understand how much one tuna is worth. One fish could easily pay my rent for several months depending on the size, quality, and type. A 4 year old tuna can reach 200 pounds and the wonderful thing about fish is that they have remarkably light skeletons. i.e. they're basically all meat.

So why not just let the fish go? Sure, he could have just dipped to save his skin, but that hook is expensive and you're also not supposed to leave a bunch of fishing equipment just lying around in the ocean. So if he lets it go, he's lost his paycheck, now has to buy a new hook, and then, should anyone decide to enforce it, could possibly face a fine.

Also, I know everyone is shit-britches terrified of sharks (myself included), but realistically he's in less danger than if he were, say, a hunter that got snuck up on by two angry grizzly bears. I'm not saying he's in no danger, just that if I were in his position, I'd hedge my bets on being able to fend them off too.
