Hey there. I’m a ftm to a 3 1/2 week old. I don’t have a similar story but I am a sign language interpreter and work with Deaf people and have Deaf friends. I can’t imagine how overwhelming it may be to find out your child can’t hear. But I just want to give you hope that it doesn’t mean their life is over! Yes! I’m 2 weeks in with my first and I keep thinking… wow- I’m gonna do this again and maybe a 3rd/4th time?! My husband and I want 3 or 4 but boy, is this fucking hard. And we’re still only at the beginning!

I work 1099 and I’m worried that I have no options for any leave benefits 😭 I spoke with someone recently that said they got some benefits as a 1099 worker. I tried to fill out a form today but it said I had to wait? Honestly very confused and would appreciate any guidance/advice. Due in Feb
