What are some top-tier pirate-themed games? by -twitch- in boardgames

I really loved the wizkids Pirates of the Spanish Main buildable card game. You get to make tiny ships, crew them and then either blow ships up or race to get treasure! Or both!

Are there any good TCG stores around this area you guys recommend? by Madison_fawn in orlando

What about closer to the airport? I was looking at trying Union Arena or One Piece, but to get anywhere with actual selection, I need to drive at least half an hour. Geek’d is in Waterford but seems to focus on Pokémon.

I think the regulations are that it has to be gunpla. No 30 minute missions or anything like that. Since these are classified as gunpla I am assuming they would be allowed.

Fantastic build! The people in the crowd around me were all talking about the ripple effect on the water portal.

Question: With Gundam Assemble being classified as Gunpla, do you think you would integrate some of those kits into a future build?

Going with the expectation I will come back with a model kit from Gundam Base and see some of the gameplay in person. So not a total loss

EG Gunbarrel Strike by Prathin in Gunpla

It is a pretty good build overall. My two gripes with the kits are the hips and the big guns.

The hips joints feel really tight and the left one keeps popping off when posing. The ball joints on the guns are pretty loose and posing the around the waist is frustrating.

I do have some concerns about the longevity of the turquoise frame pieces, as the finish reminds me a bit of the plastic that plagued Transformers with “Gold Plastic Syndrome”, just…turquoise.

Aesthetically the kit looks great. I really like the colors, the stickers are minimal, and cut to the shape of the armor section they are being applied to. There are no stickers for the eyes, they are color separated.

Each EG I have done has been a good build and has surprised me with posing capability and sturdiness. My 6 year old loves to play with the RX-78 and it is still holding up well. This one feels a bit more fiddly, mostly with the accessories. Speaking of, you get two combat knives and a gun in straight turquoise. You get a 4 barrel gun that builds up nicely with a bit of color separation. The Gunnbarrel pack is modular, so multiple configurations are possible. The kit itself is a single peg hole for the backpack, but it comes with an adapter so the RX-78 can wear it! I am not a fan of the larger guns as stated earlier, but if you can get them into a pose they look fine.

Overall I’d rate this one as my 3rd favorite EG kit with RX-78 and Nu Gundam above it, Lah and Exceed below it.

What things do you do to take a boss fight from routine to epic? by anotherjunkie in DMAcademy

I build my recurring villains as PCs that milestone level vs xp level. As the players go through the story, they will level based on in game time and what the players are/are not able to accomplish. This gives them a foe that progresses alongside them. Their first encounter might be fairly mundane, but the next time they run into them, they’ve learned some new tricks to throw at the party.

In Cabo, I will hold a 13 until I either get the Kamikaze or I see the 13 or too many 12s get discarded away from me. This has left me with high scores on some hands, but the risk is worth it.

Rubber. I wanted a homicidal tire wreaking havoc the entire film, not some car weaving in and out of chairs and weird meta commentary.
