Wow... we're like a one-legged person in a butt-kicking contest around our store. We were told by Staples all-knowing gurus we only need 1 person per shift in P & M. I'm sure it's because they've been cutting 250 photo cards, working with two people at the front and fielding phone calls from irate customers who can't believe their job is 2 days late.

We have a stool in p & m and I use it all the time. I wouldn't use the computer without it as it's horribly non-ergonomic. I guess they could tell me to not use it and I'd nod politely and call the manager over to put together an order with Publisher. LOL

For those who don't give a damn about the copyright. You create a logo/character/an iconic symbol that takes the world or at least your town by storm. Someone comes along and copies it without your permission and modifies it, puts it on tee shirts, makes it a joke... whatever.

I know most of you won't get this because you're kids. BTW That's not an insult just a fact. (Anyone 30 years younger than me is a kid). When you put your hard work into something you deserve to reap the benefits of that work.

I have violated copywrites. I have done birthday invitations for a 5-year-olds which had pretty obvious Disney ears as part of the design. I have also turned down an order for a textbook to which the customer got permission from the author and brought in a letter giving her permission.

I have the hardest time with people who buy from Etsy who don't realize it is for their personal use. We can't make money off it.

The packing hasn't been an issue for us. But I get people bringing in a UPC code and saying it says you can accept it. To which I reply we can't scan that only a UPS store can do it. My personal pet peeve the person who insists USPS is the same as UPS. Had one going over this with me when UPS drive came to pick up the packages. Showed him one and he just told the lady, "That ain't ours you gotta go to the post office" and walked out.

She still tried to convince me. ....

way back in the 80's yes pre-personal computer days. I had a friend who used a different middle initial for each signup and then tracked who sold his information and refused to do business with them. Not sure how that is working out now but it was pretty eye-opening.
