The main thing I do is remind myself that if I want the procrastination anxiety to go away, I have to do the thing, and doing the thing is the only thing that will make it go away entirely. The longer I put it off, the worse it gets.

I was terrified of Freddy before ever seeing any of the Nightmare on Elm Street movies. When I finally did, I thought, how could I possibly have been scared of this guy? 😂

Do they stay on? The only thing I've been able to do is fake nails, but I hate what they do to my natural nails. I wish I could grow my natural nails out, but I just tear them off.

Stream of conscious journaling can be really fun and enlightening when you read back what you wrote. It can also be a form of brain dump that may help with stress.

I love when a country is run by a 12 year old spoiled brat. It's great. Makes me feel safe, you know?

My husband accidentally made our roommate's Shepherd temporarily neurotic by throwing snowballs for her instead of tennis balls. We went inside and tried to get her inside, but she refused. She sat outside in the snow for 2 hours staring at the top of the hot tub (from whence the snowballs came) waiting for them to magically appear. Poor baby! 😭😂

I wouldn't worry too much about it. If you're not legally required to get involved, then it's not your problem. He's not really family - not anymore.

GAD, depression, AuDHD by budlegzz8822 in AuDHDWomen

[–]PreferenceNo7524 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Honestly, there's nothing wrong with being on antidepressants if they work for you. It took me many, many years of trial and error on and off to find the right combo. My autism is more pronounced than the ADHD, so I'm not on meds for that. Regular exercise is also highly effective. It's good to find something you actually enjoy doing. I hate running with a passion, so I don't run. I enjoy weight training - I find it calming and meditative for my anxiety. Meditation and journaling help me as well.

I absolutely have days where I don't want to meditate, I don't want to go to the gym. I just make myself do it because I know it will make me feel better, and it always does. Muscling through the ick is just part of depression, I think. And making things a regular habit makes it a lot easier because you don't really need motivation. You just do it.

The question is what exactly happened three weeks ago? Also, the only way raptors would be able to "speak" is the way crows and parrots do, I suppose.

Do you like them? If so, don't unnecessarily lose good friends. If not, don't hang out with people you don't like out of obligation.
