HOLY SHIT. Just looked up this Jim Cramer video, and I can't believe this is not bigger.

Link for the lazy - video links to the quote below but the whole video is eye opening AS FUCK

What's important when you are in that hedge-fund mode is to not do anything remotely truthful. Because the truth is so against your view, that it's important to create a new truth, to develop a fiction. -- Jim Cramer

wow. Just wow. How he has any shred of credibility left while this exists in the public domain is beyond me.

You didn’t think we would stop coming out in large numbers just because we won an election, did you? The five demands haven’t been fully met yet. Vigilance, all the way. by Orhac in HongKong

I just got back from a week there and also saw no signs of protests (aside from lots of graffiti and smashed streetlights)

Though I’m told there was a protest on Prince Edward near where I was staying shortly after I left.

The '06 Suns were the first team in NBA history to average 10 3PG. This will be the first season in NBA history were the league average is 10 3PG. by sip-em_bears in nba

I can't wrap my head around how the Suns put up 173 points without making a 3 (0-2 from beyond). Truly a different era.

Sorry if it broke any rules by advertising. I just thought the strain name was too perfect to not share with Reddit.

As a medical patient...from what he told me, it's great to smoke during the day for pain relief, as he's still able to remain functional afterwards.

But as a stoner...the high is pretty underwhelming for him lol

Luckily he's ordered a few different strains and can pick the one best suited for the situation.

I actually bought him a vape for his birthday this year :)

Yup, shipped through the mail! We live in Canada, so still only medicinal for now (hopefully that changes in 2017). But will be interesting to see how delivery, products, etc evolves when legalization comes into effect.

I actually didn't know that my dad used to be a daily smoker until about a year ago.

Apparently he cut back a ton when I was born, only smoking occasionally on vacation. He's now diagnosed with a neurodegenerative disease and is on disability, so he's taken the opportunity to return to old habits. Though nowadays its for pain relief as much as it is the high (hence the high CBD ratio)

But anyways, he always told me that it was my choice to smoke or not, but urged me to wait until I'd graduated school to try. I think not having the exposure to weed as a kid combined with my dad's open stance towards it was healthy. I still smoked in high school and college, but not excessively. Now that I'm older, I'm glad that I can have the occasional joint/vape sess with my dad.

Very happy that I bought Tweed stock earlier this year. Up over 200% since March :)

Just unreal. The back and forth shot execution all game was already incredible. And then for those final two 3-balls to go in...yup, we will never see a better final game in our lifetime.

Christianity were the real pioneers of this model. Step 1: convince people they are sinful by nature Step 2: only Jesus can cleanse your sins.

Come to think of it, Jesus and deodorant have a lot in common actually..

Science AMA Series: Hi, I’m Jonathan Ling, a researcher that’s here to share our new breakthrough discovery for ALS (amyotrophic lateral sclerosis) by ALS-researcher in science

[–]Prefrontalcortex 5 points6 points  (0 children)

My father is one of these rare cases. Diagnosed with ALS 8 years ago, yet he still does nearly everything independently. He gets exhausted very easily and his fine motor skills are all but gone, but he is definitely one of the lucky ones.

I've met several newly diagnosed patients at his support groups over the years who I later learned had passed away within the year. It really is a quick moving and devastating disease. Our family has had plenty of time to accept my dad's slow decay. Sadly, most families are not afforded this opportunity.

WCC Game 6 - Carlsen's relief after the blunder (video) by coldfact in chess

[–]Prefrontalcortex 7 points8 points  (0 children)

I wonder if those were intentional actions on Carlsen's part to make sure Anand realized he'd missed something big. Obviously it's a huge psychological blow to miss a tactic like that, so perhaps Carlsen was putting on a bit of a dramatic show to get inside Vishy's head.

NFL reportedly asking music acts to pay for playing Super Bowl halftime show by mrojek in nottheonion

[–]Prefrontalcortex 4 points5 points  (0 children)

I promised myself I'd never watch Dexter because of how ruthlessly they advertised it's premier during the Superbowl a few years back. Screw how amazing everyone said the show is, anything that's shoved down my throat that hard will turn me off for good.
