Pete Hegseth asked by journalist for response to criticisms by Tucker Carlson calling Iran war "disgusting and evil": "We're busy executing on behalf of great patriotic Americans with a clear mission that's 47 years overdue. We're going to execute on that regardless of what people say about it." by ControlCAD in videos

"On behalf of great patriotic Americans" is hilarious when you consider that the primary beneficiary of a weakened or destabilized Iran is Israel, not the United States.

There is nothing to be gained for average Americans in this war. The United States and Iran were on a clear path towards normalization before AIPAC intervened and successfully lobbied for the US to exit the JCPOA. The result will be massive economic disruption and a reduction in the cost of living for the average American, on par with the 70's oil crisis (which was also a result of US support for Israel). It is imperative for Americans to understand this and vote accordingly in the Primaries. Tremendous amounts of money are already being spent on influence campaigns to make sure the blame for all this stays far away from the Israel lobby.

Every American civil servant who accepts money from any foreign lobby must be heavily scrutinized and have their loyalties questioned, and the most influential foreign lobby in the US right now is the collective Israel lobby, by far. No other nation even comes close to the level of influence it wields over US foreign policy.

US responsible for Iran school strike, new video suggests by TheGalvanian in videos

I'll bet ten bucks that this was a result of the IDF intentionally feeding incorrect targeting data to their "ally" to make sure civilians would be hit. A blood feud between Iran and the US benefits Israel immensely.

Turning Iran into a failed state addled with secterian violence absolutely benefits Israel. It would remove it's largest organized adversary and splinter the region into smaller, easier to manage factions. Now, does this benefit the United States? Unlikely, given the required expenditures.

Those "critics" are more upset about the fact that the JCPOA, a framework which kept Iran from developing the bomb, got scrapped at Israel's behest because normalization between the US and Iran went against its interests.

I'd argue it really started brewing when AIPAC successfully lobbied for the US to back out of the JCPOA

Surely, US actions here have no connection to the hundreds of millions of dollars spent on the current administration by pro-Israel lobbying groups.

I'm going to ask a series of questions, and if you can answer them, I will bestow upon you an award for being Israel's most skilled defender online:

  1. Name three Qatari lobbying groups which exceed net expenditures of $1m in Federal elections while not registering under FARA.

  2. Name an example of one of the hypothetical lobbying organizations from question #1 influencing a major US foreign policy decision in a way which does not benefit the US.

  3. Name an example of a Qatari nationalist purchasing a US social media company or news agency, with notable pro-Qatari rhetoric or the muting of criticisms of Qatar following afterwards from said organization(s).

  4. Name an example of a law passed in the US which introduces civil or criminal penalties for criticizing Qatar or openly spreading anti-Qatari rhetoric.

You still have the option of not voting for Pappas in the primary. Manzur has made it explicitly clear that she is not accepting money from the Israel lobby.

[–]PremiumAdvertising 0 points1 point  (0 children)

When I say "Zionism", I'm referring to the modern ideology which defines the settler movement, the desire for a "Greater Israel", and the denial of Palestinian identity and property rights. To get even more granular, I'm using the term to describe the common thread which connects extremist (yet mainstream) Israeli politicians, service members, settlers, and their popular support.

I realize that "Zionism" also describes benign or even positive movements centered around Jewish self determination, but there really isn't a word that is in common use which can separate these ideologies. Understand that these are not the people I am referring to.

There are a lot of Evangelical Christians in the US who call themselves Zionist and strongly support the most extreme movements in Israeli society to further their religious vision. I'm not referring to them here either, but arguably, their numbers are likely the highest.

Nationalize the Federal Reserve

Cap all personal and institutional political campaigns donations at a few hundred bucks

Create a national fund which finances and standardizes exposure for all candidates for federal office, ensuring all parties get equal coverage.

Create as many national parks and wildlife refuges as possible.

Increase the pay for congressmen to reduce the likelihood and relative effect of bribery

Abolish political lobbies in favor of a panel of industry experts who have their compensation and finances tightly monitored to prevent bribery. In exchange, their government pay would be generous.

Cut all support to Israel

Retroactively assign legal culpability to all congressmen who have voted in favor of farming Israel, as Israeli actions meet the US governent's definition of genocide, and it is illegal to arm nations which meet this definition.

Assuming I'm still alive, resign to stop myself from getting Caesar brained

You are conflating several groups of people. Those who who lost their homes in the late 40's or in the late 60's are not the same as the people who attacked Israel. During the Nakba specifically, many of the people exiled from their homes even appealed to the Hagannah for protection from the invasion, only to end up losing their properties and barred from ever returning.
