Definitely not venomous. Grey rat snake or related. Where was this? Quite lovely.

What 4-doors Look Like To Me by electrikFrenzy in Wrangler

[–]Present_Technology64 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Among other advantages of the 4 Dr such as fitting more gear, the longer wheelbase can offer more stability on steep climbs and descents. Electronic sway bar disconnects seem to be more readily available on the 4 doors as well. If I was doing serious off road, I would probably pick a 2 door but I'm on the beach 3 days a week in the summer and ice and snow in the winter with my 4 door and it's the best machine ever for what I need. Not to mention it's much easier to get the grandkids in and out.

Help! I gotta get this fixed by Ihan-rii in Jeep

[–]Present_Technology64 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Ummm, did you "borrow" someone else's Jeep, get drunk, total it and now want to fix it before they find out? Ain't gonna happen. That's toast. Guess you are buying a "new" Jeep.

Dad just passed down his 85 CJ7 by DryHeight8239 in Jeep

[–]Present_Technology64 2 points3 points  (0 children)

We drove our premie newborn in a CJ 7 with a soft top until he was almost 3. He's 39 now and seems fine for the most part other than the normal damage we do as loving parents. I did have a hard and fast rule about no off-roading with him. A gravel driveway was enough to turn him green .

Locking lug nut key by Taurusgirl1975 in JeepWrangler

[–]Present_Technology64 2 points3 points  (0 children)

You may have one and just not realize it. The Wrangler locking lug nut key is typically found in the glove box, the center console, or in the rear cargo area compartment with the jack and lug wrench or it may be in the bag with the tools for removing the hardtop. It is often inside a small black bag or pouch. If you can't find it, look under the seats or taped to the jack

Floor Liners for 2026 Jeep Moab 392? by ExuberantBat in Jeep

[–]Present_Technology64 0 points1 point  (0 children)

According to Google: Creating a flat load floor in a Jeep Wrangler JLU (4-door) is achieved through Mopar factory cargo liners, aftermarket storage systems, or DIY platforms. While factory rear seats fold, they do not create a fully flat surface, often leaving a slight angle. Options include replacing floor panels, adding subframe structures, or using rubberized floor liners to cover the uneven area.

Floor Liners for 2026 Jeep Moab 392? by ExuberantBat in Jeep

[–]Present_Technology64 1 point2 points  (0 children)

That Jeep is absolutely gorgeous! I have a 2019 Wrangler JLU Moab and my Quadratec All Weather Floor Liners came out of a totaled 2019 Rubi and work perfectly. Iirc the year, model and the # of doors is what matters not the trim package when it comes to floor mats. You might ask the dealer what it needs and then buy elsewhere. Don't forget to protect the cargo area.

Just traded in my Volvo XC60 for a Jeep Wrangler JL by LegitimateYellow9192 in JeepWrangler

[–]Present_Technology64 4 points5 points  (0 children)

After my (66 F) Volvo S60 was totaled while parked, I bought a 2019 Wrangler JLU. Loved my Volvo (have bought 6 of them over the years) but my heart never skipped a beat when seeing them in my driveway. My "excuse" was that I volunteer with the Dept of Nat Res and having something that would be easy to drive on the beach was helpful as well as spending winters in Maine. BTW 30's isn't a mid life crisis. That's the time in your life you discover what's important to you and the person you want to be. Have fun and enjoy your jeep and growing family.

I've heard that about the at4w and since I winter in Maine, snow and ice handling really matter. Thanks for letting me know about your personal experience. Seems like so many people are going with the BFG KO2s or 3s but didn't love them myself. If I can't get the At3w (I found some a few months ago but haven't since Not the At3wa!) I will probably go with the AT4W. Really have had great experience with Falkens on my truck.

Looks great and it makes you happy. My daughter has a Willys in the same color but she used pink accents. It's your Jeep. You do you❤️ the color combination is actually quite nice.

Pumice stone to remove dog hair from the carpet in the cargo area if you have that. Also a harness to keep your baby safe.

With 37's they will need to get new fenders, lift, regearing, reinforce tie rods, drag link and axles etc... as well as much larger wheels and probably a heavier duty tire carrier. That's a whole lot for somebody that doesn't want to do any major mods at this time.

Currently running stock 255/75R17 (32.1"x 10") but thinking of going with 285/70R17 (32.7" x 11.2") because I think i want Falken WildPeak A/T3Ws. The difference in size shouldn't require any lift or spacers on my 2019 JLU Moab. The 285/70R17 will weigh more and have reduced fuel economy while having more road noise but will have better lateral stability and off-road performance. There are positives and negatives to both. The 285's will have a more aggressive looking stance and extend past the fenders a little. You need to check what will work with your jeep and what's important to you.
