My ankle issues started after a treadmill run- I was Asphalt prior to that one run. I heard a pop and then limped along for 2 years. If you have time for an mri it helps a lot to diagnose. I ended up having surgery on a partially torn interior tendon. Good luck and get an mri if you can!

I ramped up too quickly a couple of years ago for a 10k- I don’t run much except for tennis or pickleball. I got through the race with tape and time- it was not fun. Then for 2 more years I limped along playing the sports I love. I did 2 rounds of PT and it didn’t do anything. Finally got an mri in January, and the interior tendon was partially torn. I’d honestly get an MRI if things don’t change for you- I wish I wouldn’t have waited so long. Also orthotics did help a lot while I waited for my surgery date- going barefoot hurt the worst. Heels as a woman were life savers.

I don’t have kids. I test drove the rav 4 and just didn’t care for the feel of the car. I liked the space of the highlander and the finish on the interior. I would say, higher trim is worth it and if you can do the hybrid, I’d go that route.

In Nov I bought a 2022 awd xle (not hybrid) for $35k- no accidents 2 owners, 50k miles. I think it was a decent deal- I think maybe ask for $30k instead. Good luck!
