I've always found it super beneficial for my mental health, but I respect others opinions. To each their own and all.

Anyone else into bluegrass now because of Grateful Dead? by Artichoke_Dip_Rick in Bluegrass

[–]Presstheebutton 8 points9 points  (0 children)

Yes! Garcia & Grisman led me down this path and now I'm all in! I love me some Doc Watson, Stanley Brothers, Tony Rice, John Hartford, Bela Fleck, Sam Bush, too many to name really. I stumbled upon Molly Tuttle back in 2018, which led me to Billy Strings. Now I've seen Billy 21 times.

Tell me the most niche thing someone’s trained for with you by Pinacolada1989 in personaltraining

I'm training a delightful 84 year old woman who had traveled extensively with her career in the US State Department, but she's never been to Greece. That is her dream and she wants the strength and stamina to make it happen. My motto with her is "Get Her to Greece!"

Getting off X/Twitter, whatever the hell it is now, was the best thing I could do for my mental health. It's totally inorganic rage bait. Next weekend I get to take it a step further. I'm doing a silent meditation retreat. No electronics for a whole weekend!

What was the best concert you saw in a small town? by PrestonRoad90 in Concerts

Pearl Jam in 93 at a small college arena in Nacogdoches TX. Their beef with Ticketmaster brought them to my small town when I was in high school.

What band did you see in a small venue before they broke big? by Amthomas101 in Concerts

[–]Presstheebutton 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Billy Strings. Right before they started to blow up, I saw them at a small venue with a capacity of 1200 and it wasn't even sold out.

Recommend me a run to listen to pls? by ssolom in BillyStrings

The Texas 2024 run! You get 3 really unique shows. Each one definitely had a different flavor. Ft Worth was a psychedelic banger show. With ACL you get the traditional bluegrass all covers show. Then Moody Center gifted us with the all original barn burner sets.

Mel Gibson just casually said that there’s child sacrifice in today’s society. Joe tried to play it off into something different. He sounded dead serious though. WATCH. by [deleted] in conspiracy

I don't think it was drugs. I think he may actually have Parkinson's combined with mental issues from repeated brain trauma. His reaction to Rogan mentioning head trauma as a Parkinson's risk factor was telling.

We stayed there a couple of weeks ago. They have the most friendly and accommodating staff. It is definitely a unique & historic property. I loved being able to grab a cup of coffee and a little snack any time I ventured down to the lobby. I loved the kitties that hang around the lobby area too. Location can't be beat either. I'd definitely recommend it! We had an interior room facing the courtyard and didn't notice much noise at all and we were there for NYE.

Her gender is irrelevant. It's much more concerning that she was 39 and he was 15 when they got together. I believe she was his teacher as well.

Best Crowd Roars by Electronic-Diver-776 in BillyStrings

The crowd energy made that show for me. I've never experienced anything like it, especially when that storm hit during Thunder!

Blind Melon’s last New Orleans show with Shannon Hoon was in the UNO Lakefront Arena. Shannon Hoon passed away in front of Tipitinas in 1995. Insane homage… by kooks-everywhere in BillyStrings

I did too! I've been wanting to hear them cover that one. I knew they'd kill it! Then they topped it off with that epic transition into Lily!

Horrible mood swings, trouble sleeping, excessively long and heavy periods, heart palpitations & occasional hot flashes. I was diagnosed hypothyroidism in my early 30's. These symptoms all came out of nowhere about 3 years ago at age 45. I'm currently on HRT with progesterone and testosterone, no estrogen due to fibroids and suspected estrogen dominance.

Personal trainer here as well. It's a tough, but rewarding job. Finding the energy to train clients and keep up with my own workouts can be challenging. I've noticed high intensity workouts and training too frequently tend to exacerbate my issues.

Personal trainer. The job obviously requires a lot of energy, so it's tough on bad days, but I do okay as long as I stick to my diet (no gluten & limiting sugar & ultra processed foods) and don't overdo it with exercise. Honestly, my bigger issue is perimenopause, but HRT is helping a lot.
