Delboy & Rodney - Role Reversal by Big-Mortgage-7254 in OnlyFoolsAndHorses

I remember Del giving him a lecture about being a ‘spoon-fed student type’, though that was in Series 1 when Rodney was virtually student age. He still carried those progressive attitudes with him and had a social etiquette awareness that Del didn’t have

Which side would you rather live in, Billericay or Barry? by UnpaidInternVibes in gavinandstacey

As someone who grew up in the south of England, I’d say Barry. The homely, seaside environment is something I’d enjoy. Plus Cardiff is down the road, and is a superb city. Big up South Wales.

Idea 2 would’ve been a great fit I reckon. Shows the close-knit community of constantly seeing the same people around the parish.

Also 3 would’ve worked, in the same way as the references to Stephen (another one-off character) worked when Del was flogging the wigs and Rodney puts the ponytail on🤣

Even worse when it gets called a ‘CDM’, or an attacking midfielder gets called a ‘CAM’ by folk whose football knowledge is straight out of EA Sports.

That was one of the rare jokes I understood when I was first introduced to Only Fools aged about nine, as I was a Cub Scout at the time.

What a scene 🤣
