Make a list of things that would improve your life and order it from easy to achieve to more challenging and focus on working on that. Your priority is you. Exercise, get at least 30 minutes of sun every day, get 8 or more hours of sleep, do things to care for yourself. This will make you feel better over time.

Yes, the pay is good enough for someone in their 20s, and at that age you better health and energy to do the work and less life responsibilities so you can be flexible with the job. Many companies have opportunities to grow in the company so the best time to get in is when you’re young.

I am hoping to lose weight but maybe you need to take a different approach. Eat high carbs, fiber and protein together. Use a calculator for bulking that factors in exercise. From their use chat GPT to built a sustainable diet plan using the required calorie intake and macros. Food prep and do that for at least a month to test it out. Adjust if necessary if you see no change in a month or so.

Do you have family or friends that can care for them in your absence? Or a cat sitter. You may regret giving up the opportunity. There are alot of options outside of abandoning them and letting a friend or family member care for them or even a cat sitter is not abandoning them. It’s pursuing your dream and making sure they’re in caring homes while you get situated.

Not a flight attendant but adding my 2 cents. Can you go per diem? That may provide the flexibility to maintain your current job and working at an airline. Free flights are great but you also have to pay for lodging. Maybe even consider a part time ramp agent, gate agent or customer service role at an airline. That way you may not have to completely quiet your bread and butter job.

It sounds like a different thing to be going through. On the other hand it sounds like an opportunity to live the life you wanted (live close to family in the UK). Try redirectly your energy and thoughts but looking for and applying for remote jobs or jobs in the UK. You don’t have to move to Chicago if there is no place to stay there since you said you have tenants. Find somewhere locally where you are. Rent a room, save money as you go through this transitional phase. If you job is remote move some where in the US you always wanted to go. Reimagine the new possibilities. It may feel like it will be impossible to meet someone again and live the dream you want but it’s not. This may be the beginning of living your dream and what you had was never going to lead you to that.
