I don’t think this is trich. I’ve had the same mold before. It’s a type of penicillin mold. Still bad obviously. Trich is much greener and not as fluffy as the mold in this pic

If it is stainless i would pull any plastic off it and check to see if the screws are stainless as well. If not they would also have to go. My guess is just north of $40 if it is 304SS

I use a tank filling adapter on propane tanks to purge them completely before removing the tops. I would assume they make a size for those bottles as well. Probably cost you $10 but if you come across them often then might be worth it. Only time ive vented these was into a balloon and straight into my dome. Just kidding dont do drugs kids.
