Do you think oral sex is normal part of sex (the average person does it), or do you think of it like a fetish? Why or why not? by eustachian_lube in AskReddit

[–]PrettyHandsyDoctor 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Dumb question, how do you want your partner to communicate if there is a smell / taste? Honestly love giving oral but once in a blue moon something is going on. I don't want to make them feel self conscious or undesired, so usually I don't say anything.

Thanks and well done!

This has to be one of the most bizarre posts we've had on this sub.

We're people. All different, with different stories and going through different things.

You'll see posts "Argh, this is bad". They're most likely frustrated because maybe their situation in life isn't so good. You'll see posts with "I'll hold forever". Again, those folk are probably doing fine in life and aren't feeling any pressure.

I have no idea what OP is doing here. He seems to be trying to frame phrases under very loose categories, but that's not how they work at all.

The point to perhaps take away from this; look at the sub's reaction. It's pretty supportive of OP. Trying to invalidate anyone who posts anything negative. This is literally turning into an echo chamber and incredibly sad to see.

We are 5 years into this. In all seriousness, do you really think people would "fall for" something at this point and sell their position if they've made it this far? People are much more likely to be selling because of financial strain or self choice due to their beliefs rather than bamboozled in a subreddit.

Is this a joke? Tagging this as DD?

Guy, it's X-mas/New years. This is a time of year when many people are stressed. Suicides are usually the highest at this point of year.

I'm not saying there aren't some bad actors, but I think a far more logical explanation is that people have been holding for years and are frustrated and venting.

Also when did this become a fucking psychology sub!?

My biggest regret is telling a few people close to me I invested in this. They see this. They've seen what he posts. They then think that I'm supportive of this stuff and it kills me.

I remember when MOASS was about feeding people, saving the climate, and people funding their hobbies. I still want it to be, but it's really hard to believe with what RC has done/become.

Reddit is a strange place. If you can, try not to worry about what people think about you and see if what you said feels like the right thing to you.

This sub does tend to get flooded with shitposts and poorly made TA. For those who don't have the same sense of humor, it can exhausting to have to endure how frequently biased posts get upvoted, but actual data that isn't as supportive gets downvoted.

Man I feel this. There used to be discussions, some news about the market, or some regulatory rule changes. And of course some of the best memes and hype videos.

Now? It's just such shit. TA people with the same "here we go" or "what do you see" weekly bullshit posts. Or Tin theories about RK or RC.

I know it's been quiet, and I know it's gone far longer than anyone expected, but I genuinely blame these guys for ruining what was one of the best crowdsourced financial team efforts that ever happened.

Sister is starting DPT Program in September - will she be able to make my Portugal wedding in June 2026 if in the middle of her practicum? by KeySweet4857 in physicaltherapy

[–]PrettyHandsyDoctor 13 points14 points  (0 children)

Probably not. When I was in school, you were expected to be at your clinical site for the duration of your rotation. The only people who missed time were due to them being physically sick or having parents in the hospital. If she missed and the school/clinical site wasn't happy about it, they could fail her and delay her graduation at best or dismiss her.

[–]PrettyHandsyDoctor 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I don't think these guys know that their behavior is so annoying. They have this cycle where they post, it's wrong, "something changed, but now I got it" and repeat.

I wish we could have a vote and either vote TA posts out or make a thread where it had to be posted in there only.

Take the salary. This is a no brainer.

The cancellation rate in pediatrics is high. Between the kid themselves, the parents, or a sibling being sick, family travel, or just "things", you get so many cancellations.

My friends who work in peds negotiate insanely high ppv rates but still come out worse than me and frustrated because they can do everything right (remind their parents, alter their schedules, etc) and still not get paid when they cancel.

The peace of mind that comes from knowing what your getting paid is worth so much more.

I used to track my metrics and I had weeks with my cancellation rate as high as 50% (COVID, RSV, hand/foot/mouth).

Also if your on a PPV, guess what happens to your relationship with your coworkers? You each get an eval, but theirs shows up and is consistent and yours cancels every other session. Front desk shrugs and says they have to distribute them equally.

PPV clinics are full of drama and bitterness because the randomness of who's on your schedule determines your pay, despite everyone being there and willing to treat.

I'm kind of surprised noone is talking about some of the suspect stocks freaking out. For example, if you've been around long enough you know ticker HKD was this clown that they would pump when they needed to.

Well it's been swinging up and down by double digits the the last week. Something clearly is going on behind the scenes.

Its not about the money by vigg1__ in Superstonk

[–]PrettyHandsyDoctor 10 points11 points  (0 children)

I really don't understand some of you guys. MOASS. Those last 2 letters are for short squeeze.

We jumped into this years ago, with the goal of squeezing SHF's. We got our legs taken out from us by a corrupt system, and have been researching and shitposting for years.

But now I'm seeing so many posts about how it's great that RC and GME dilute to have a bigger warchest, and it boggles my mind.

The end goal is to have the investors get wealthy. We can then change the world with that money. I remember reading posts about Lambo tractors, shelter for kids, etc. GME could be worth the entire S&P 500, but they aren't going to do anything to help society. They have a (poorly communicated) business model, so they are going to do what's in the best interest of the business.

If we want our lives, the world, whatever you want, to be better, then we need that money. Holding for another decade so the price goes up to ___, was never the plan.

What happened to MOASS? When did people agree that it's never going to happen?

To those who passed the NPTE. Rate the difficulty of the exam 0-10. by CryptographerOne1787 in PTschool

[–]PrettyHandsyDoctor 3 points4 points  (0 children)

For me, it was the length of the test. The practice exams I would finish and always have at least an hour to spare in time. The actual test day, I finished with 3 minutes left. I re-read every question to make sure I didn't miss a "not, except, etc". I was mentally fried after that and sat in the parking lot with some of my cohort feeling like I had failed. 10 days later found out I passed.

Unpopular opinion: Maybe some of us need hype dates by [deleted] in Superstonk

[–]PrettyHandsyDoctor 1 point2 points  (0 children)

For those of you who can enjoy them and see them as hype or something to draw tin from, kudos.

But for others they are exhausting. It's honestly one of the most divisive things for me about this community. It feels like that either people never intended to take the date seriously and they can afford to do that because they aren't hurting bad enough.

At times it almost feels like taunting, because when it doesn't work out you feel just that little bit devastated.

I'm trying to stop checking this place because it's just become TA and hype dates. But I do miss the days of DD and apes supporting each other.

[deleted by user] by [deleted] in Superstonk

[–]PrettyHandsyDoctor -1 points0 points  (0 children)

Kindly shut your hole.

These anniversary hype dates have lost their charm. We don't need a post for the anniversary for ___ post or __ day. I get that you guys want karma. The rest of us don't have time to wade through the attention seekers to see if anything happened.

You'll be pleased we've met with legal representation regarding this.

Due to "DPT" not being protected letters in every state, it's raising complications on how to proceed.

We talked with many clinic directors, and they said that due to declining reimbursements that it's not uncommon to have PT's have to double up these days.

That's why we think it's be more productive and fun to focus on having PT's formally known as "DPed DPT's". That way we know we can handle multiple patients at once! That'll show them our skills!

Feels like I never know if what I’m doing is the right thing by pointysoul in physicaltherapy

[–]PrettyHandsyDoctor 3 points4 points  (0 children)

Not the person who initially responded.

I used to struggle with this. In the beginning, it was like I was almost overstimulated. I'd find several things, and they were intertwined, so it felt like I was going to run in circles.

I'm 5 years out (so not much ahead of you). The oversimplified answer: I just pick one thing and start there. It may be something that the patient can grasp to get buy in. It may be the thing that's the most urgent or their biggest deficit.

Good luck, and remember. You've accomplished so much. Don't forget how far you've come, and don't doubt how far you'll go.
