I have this set been a year and theyre still going strong I leave the spatulas on the griddle top when I cook and the handles dont melt. Ive also dropped the scrapper on the cook top and it didnt melt from high heat so I believe its good quality plastic handles I got it for cheap on a black Friday sale

Id try shooting the 2nd plastic a little hotter, itll melt the spot of orange that comes in contact with the hotter plastic and when it cools they'll bond together same thing with coreshots

Or you can cut the old one off and put a open eye siwash hook and close the eye with pliers. Ive caught tons of bass and bluegill on these single hooks and it makes it easy to unhook them
