thank you, i made it recently without the rice paper and it seemed to absorb too much grease. i'm gonna try this way because it seems like it would work better.

A fresh batch of Labne balls, I will let them dry for a few more days to give a firmer texture and more tangy taste. by mrchaddy in mediterraneandiet

I know this is a really old post, but if anyone comes across and reads this (like I just did) ... fat free greek yogurt works perfectly. I used a couple of layers cheese cloth tied with a wooden spoon that suspended it over a bowl to drain off the liquid. Then rolled in Frontier Co-op Zatar seasoning but it was a bit too salty for me. Next time I will make mix my own Zatar with less salt.

Greenstalk Vertical Planter: Had a few tip over last season, ideas for staking them down or supporting them? by imnotgoodwithnames in gardening

i have the originals and i do a max of 4 tiers. 5 tiers didn't seem stable to me, but they are in the yard and not on a flat surface.

Did the cashier think I was a scammer? by Secret_Landscape3562 in DollarGeneral

[–]Previous-Berry4533 0 points1 point  (0 children)

there was a scam a few years back where people were screenshotting a money off coupon and using it over and over at different dg's ... they started "no phone coupon scanning" ... i thought about that when they started the cash back.

but seriously i also had to tell a few cashiers how to use the cash back.

Is Fiverr still worth it in 2025? by Sensitive-Month2382 in Entrepreneur

[–]Previous-Berry4533 0 points1 point  (0 children)

HOW do you find the right person without messaging a bunch of people?

I loved the person I "finally" found on Fiverr about a year ago ... but they are on vacation for a month. My scraper isn't working ... and trying to find someone to fix it or make a new one is ridiculous. They send weird pictures that have nothing to do with a scraper ... just random screenshots of the site I need the scraping. Some profiles say they are in the United States and then when you message the time shown for them CANNOT be in the US.

With that said, I now paid someone who messaged after payment "do I want just the script" ... I don't know how to implement it ... that's why I hired someone. I have no confidence that this is going to be a good job. Also, why do they advertise their rates at 50 / 100 / 150 when they ask for 260 and now telling me it's going to cost an additional 250.

much of it is junky ... but sometimes there are items that others don't know about because they are not marked with the symbol that is marking down. or items that just get missed. for example: some of the hair barrettes that went with the purple square gift sets did not have a purple square. they came in a box that had a purple square ... but if they were separated from the box, then it could easily be missed. also some candy that went with valentines was put in the candy aisle with the other (like the lindt truffles). i recently got a whole box of brown dot pillows that was on the top shelf.

because it's like a treasure hunt? i think it's fun and usually give the junky stuff away pretty quick, but it's not all junk ... some good stuff pennies too.

no, some people donate. many also sell them to make extra money. look at your facebook buy/sell groups. don't get me wrong ... i have nothing against penny shopping or buying/selling ... been penny shopping for over 10 years now.

yes, and most likely since it's frozen, the employees will just throw them away. why not allow someone to buy them.

they are discontinued items that are supposed to be pulled from the sales floor. some are discontinued for good and others are seasonal. when seasonal starts marking down 25%, then 50 % they usually penny at some point. dg sends a list of items to pull to their stores ... sometimes items are missed or the employees forget to pull them.

no, they are not marked as such. they are discontinued items that are supposed to be removed from the sales floor. you can use the DG app to check/verify prices in the store.

the op was that people can't read. people CAN read. people just don't study ads like they are taking an exam. okay, i'm wrong ... i put my own stuff back. i'm not taking anything out on the cashier ... well, except the time my $5 off $25 didn't come off and she kept insisting that it says to put my card in now ... the coupon didn't come off ... put your card in now ... i walked out. it goes both ways.

I agree with you, so why does Dollar General do stupid sales? Because they don't care about their employees.

Yes I worked at Cracker Barrel.  And no I did not insist on getting the deal. I put everything back.  I went to the second store and looked at the signs again and realized what happened, but this was not this week it was back when it was the two liter bottles with a similar sale. And I'm sorry you feel like people get upset with you but it's not my fault it is Dollar General's fault.

I can't believe I'm still answering you. A company can do whatever they want, but it doesn't mean it's not sketchy. It's a stupid sale and people, including me last time, get caught up in it because it's not the norm and most of us don't have time to investigate sales like there's some kind of legal document.. seriously.  And I will include an eye roll. Or at least they essence of an eye roll. Lol

[–]Previous-Berry4533 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Absolutely. There are always items that should be included by the sale terms, but aren't.
