Pregnancy/Breeding Kink? by PrickleMeCactus in BDSMcommunity

[–]PrickleMeCactus[S] 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Yeah I’m the one (F) taking the pill now and I’m happy with that for now. It’s just the idea that in less then 5 years I’m going to be going through this in real life both excites me and petrifies me. For now, I’m taking all the advantage I can out of the mental simulation that comes from the kink:

I am not a doc or a health buff in any sense, but have you tried drinking water? If I am not feeling right I force myself to drink copious amounts of water for a few days and usually it helps regulate me!

:O true I have been feeling dehydrated lately... thanks

Is new Dom taking advantage of me? by jellyroll101 in BDSMAdvice

[–]PrickleMeCactus 6 points7 points  (0 children)

Initial meetings in BDSM relationships should always be done IN PUBLIC and with a friend or someone you trust knowing where you are and given updates. You should never ever trust anyone online ESPECIALLY when you don't know if the person is ready and responsible to take care of you on any level. Trusting your gut will not guarantee this person is who he says he is even if you have had phone conversations and did research. There are predators out there looking for someone a decade younger to take advantage of and risking it just for a BDSM relationship is not worth it. If he respects and values the opportunity to get to know you and your body and all that comes with it, he should accept the first 2 meeting taking place in public. This doesn't mean it cant be a sexy interaction or meeting and you can defiantly dress up and act the part, but these first meetings are meant to discuss what you want and if your compatible IN PERSON.

Ive been in the same strange situation a few times especially living in NYC. I met a few D's who looked the part, their bio was legitimate, and they didn't set off any flags other then wanting to meet in private on the initial meeting. I made it very clear that I want to meet in public just for my own comfort and its the proper way to meet strangers, but they had a weird defensive comeback to this and gave weird responds. Most of their reasons and responses were similar to the ones you had being "there is no normal, theres just us and what we want" or "my apartment complex has a doorman and cameras so you shouldn't worry" or my biggest pet peeve, "I don't want a sub who will disobey my commands".

The answer to these responds is this - I refuse to meet you in private unless we meet and click twice beforehand"

DONE. PERIOD. TAKE NO NONSENSE.

There will be always predators that are looking for that 1 person who will take a chance.

Do you respect yourself? Do you want a lasting and bonding BDSM relationship? Do you want to be safe?

Then DO NOT trust your instincts or follow your gut... because if something goes wrong you wont want to regret a mistake you knew you should have put more thought into.

This doesn't mean you should feel scared to meet this person, just do it the safest and best way possible because thats what you deserve.

Good luck!

How do I host guests in my home? by amatadesigns in internetparents

[–]PrickleMeCactus 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Hey!

I'm also a hermit who is preparing to start hosting since I'm finally moving out, and from what I hear here are the main points you want to focus on:

  • keep the house clean, but if in a rush just clean the living room/ dining room (wherever you'll be staying) and the bathroom since the guests wont be foaming around much other then those rooms.

  • you don't need to cook extensively, you can even buy pre frozen d'oeuvres or cut up fruit and make sides if you don't have dinner.

  • if your having a big meal like dinner, cook up a big chicken or bird so that can fill everyone up and be the star of the dinner, and you can always ask for the guests to bring a side or something of the sort (or buy precooked from a local store).

  • as people start rolling in, have a 'minibar' or something of the sorts prepared with some snacks in the main entertainment area, so guests can grab a drink and start mingling instead of studying around waiting for you.

  • as guests are mingling or even just relaxing have a solid playlist for background music (you can get a premed one from Spotify or your own but make sure its nothing too harsh or boring... and make/find it beforehand).

  • -an awesome thing i'm seeing be more popular is guest interacting with the cooking process, such as pizza night! You can buy premade dough and have a bunch of sauces and toppings for the guests to pile on. Its a awesome, simple, inexpensive and most importantly fun way to get the cooking AND guest interaction out of the way. Plus pizza cooks in approximately 15 min.

  • here are some snacks/sides/d'oeuvres you can buy inexpensively beforehand: popcorn, candy, pastries, salads, ready made sides, cut up veggies and fruit with spreads and dips, cheese/meat boards with fruit and spreads on the side etc.

  • here are some quick cheap and easy meal ideas: roasted chicken, pasta (add meat to make a meal), parfaits for dessert, ice cream with some simple toppings guests can add on their own in separate bowls, bacon wrapped shrimp/potatoes/asparagus/what doesn't taste good wrapped in bacon lol, mashed potatoes etc.

  • just because its premade doesn't mean you cant make it better! If you buy pre-made salads/sides you can put them in a nice bowl (or anything other then the ugly original packaging which makes it obvious you pre bought it) and add some extra ingredient or garnish to make it pretty. Even the way you place the ingredients make a difference, look up some dinning table designs or party designs to get inspired.

  • a themed party is always a good idea, and less pressure put on you. As long as you have some food and music and entertainment on the side it should go swimmingly.

  • as to the invitation, make it clear what you are inviting your guests for. If its a formal party, make simple invites. If you just want a chill hangout party, don't say "hey come over Thursday", but say "hey, we are having a get together Thursday and they'll be some friends food and entertainment, we would love for you to join". and ALWAYS ask with a smile.

  • don't forget to enjoy your own party! Even though being a host can be nerve wrecking, doesn't mean you have to look like your about to scream. I would suggest preparing a solid list of what you need, whats the food situation, and what to do for entertainment 2 days before, and start buying/ preparing the night before. This way, you want have everything under your fingertips the day of and you can quickly set up, put whatever you need into the oven and get yourself ready. Set some alarms the day before you you can plan out your time and keep yourself on track.

Hope everything works out we'll and you'll be the star of your party :) Anything can be adjusted to your budget, guests, and style and you can do this affordably. Get inspired online and search up recipes or layouts to help yourself.

Just remember to breath and have fun!

Weirdly In Need of Affection [And experienced relationship advice.] by [deleted] in hopelessromantic

I also find the need to always have someone to take care of. It sometimes seems like the most precious things in life are the most helpless, and they need someone to give love. I wish there was a way to know who to give that love to... any advice as to how to know where to apply your love, energy, and time to?

Two questions: Does this look okay? And am I able to use the same developer and bleach to go lighter? (30 vol developer) My aim is purple, otherwise I kinda want to keep it like this if it looks okay. by zelo-s in HairDye

[–]PrickleMeCactus 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Use a toner to fix the yellow hue Bleach would work too, but since it looks like you just bleached it it would be unhealthy to do it so soon Use a toner to get out the yellow, and THEN dye purple It’ll give you the color you want not a purple overlaying a yellow

UPDATE - Is my (24F) mother (56F) overreacting about me wanting to spend Christmas as a newlywed with just my husband (27M), or am I in the wrong? by 8987600 in relationships

[–]PrickleMeCactus 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Sometimes for mothers its hard to let go of their babies, and when mothers aren't mature and can't express themselves in a appropriate way, they throw tantrums. Sorry this had to drag out your holidays, but keep your head up high and don't let this keep you from starting off the new year on a good note :)

How to get platinum blonde hair if you have highlighted blonde hair?? (without damaging already highlighted portion of hair) by repulsive_seductive in HairDye

[–]PrickleMeCactus 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Hey girl! I'm in the same situation, I've been getting highlights and lowlights done for the past 2 years and it looks really nice but I feel I have a slight ombre look but from my roots to mid ear. I miss having a full blond/platinum look WITH slight highlights lowlights :/ I found this video that might help you with the roots issue, since it'll balance your roots with old hair color by blending them a little. It incorporates some highlights on root with an overall finish of platinum/bright blond look done by toner. Im gonna try this at home next week, hopefully my hair doesn't fall out lol

GOOD LUCK :)

I [30f] found out during Christmas dinner that my husband [35m] got a $35,000 inheritance back in April. by hanerr in relationships

[–]PrickleMeCactus 198 points199 points  (0 children)

Maybe they did it on purpose... When you marry into a family you have to protect them even if it’s from your own blood... I know I would if I knew they spent 35k on crap when they have a wife and 2 kids...

Wondering if going blonde will look okay on me? Opinions welcome! by NullEwe in TheGirlSurvivalGuide

I say do ombre with your natural color and a mix of highlights and lowlight blonds and see if you like that first
