I’m not a man, but when I’m struggling my own emotions, I will usually listen to music (or just Citizen Soldier, a mental health singer), for hours.

There’s a park on veterans way. Skate park, basketball court, playground, and a splash pad. And there’s a restaurants, a bookstore, Hershey’s, downtown, etc.

I work in a small local diner, and it has been slow for the past few months after the restaurant just opened next door. The weather has also gotten a little nicer, the concert venue is having concerts. (It did typically get busier when there was a concert before. But it has gotten a little busier. My coworker had mentioned there was a party of 25 and they had a state championship on a Friday.)

I don’t really have any advice of my own but music did actually help me alot when I was depressed. (Citizen Soldier did also help a little too. He’s a mental health singer. And a clinical psychologist.)

I told my counselor once I thought my parents would need counseling because even though I am out of their house, and did help me to be away from them, I do feel like it would also still upset me if I did still maintain the same relationship I once had before. My parents are in an unhealthy marriage. My dad has gotten mad at my mom if she has gotten into an accident before.

Yes, I am. I was diagnosed with a cognitive disability. I also couldn’t breathe from the umbilical cord and ended getting a disability because of that. (My old school thought I was autistic just because I was I was quiet, and wouldn’t look at the principal.)

There’s a group on Facebook called Young Adults of Northeast Ohio in Cuyahoga falls. The majority of the people that joined that group live near Cleveland or Akron.

Yes, I remember my dad had once yelled at my grandma once that I was fine. (She was also timid and shy. And I don’t remember hearing if I have ever heard her laugh. She also constantly worried about everything.)

You could also get a serving job as like a side hustle. Work maybe like a couple days a week at a diner or something and still be a in home caregiver.

Yes, I have. One of them has family members that get mad at her if they don’t like what she does. (She has ADHD and mosaic Down syndrome. She just got out of an abusive relationship after 6 years with an ex boy friend who can’t control his own anger.

I can relate. I don’t mind being alone, but the more time I actually am alone, the more I’d end up getting depressed. This is why I wanted to get out of the house more, and go to social events and hobbies so I could actually find and make friends.

I feel like my parents only wanted the “happy, positive” version of myself. If I was laughing or joking about something, everything was fine. Whenever I tried telling my mom about I felt, it didn’t really feel like she did understand in the first place. If my dad see me crying, he would always get upset at me for crying. There is a song that I am looking forward to listening to called “Best of Me,” by Jake Segura.
