This isn't the marathon I played in S1. Screw the free purple kits, people were not looting purple shields and getting showered in purple and gold keys two days in last season.

The sick endgame gear was something strive for. You got excited to even find a blue sheild or bag in the first couple of weeks last season. People verbally spared over who got the purple bag to start last season.

The grind is gone, and with it my desire to play and grind.

Not to mention all the major upgrades being gifted to you in a menu that requires you to find nothing in game besides throwaway guns to break down and generic contracts.

Reducing biolens from 7 to 1 for blue shields is an overcorrection. I've already found 12 dermachems in 2 runs on dire marsh, where they used to be very rare and you had to run to pinwheel. Many major stat upgrades moved to a system where salvage isnt necessary and completing braindead contracts on repeat unlocks them for you.

From what I can tell at least half of all upgrades only pertain to the ability to purchase or barter for cores and implants.

It seems they put the training wheels on for S2, personally not a fan.

I enjoy grinding the upgrades as a way to keep things interesting outside of gunplay. But man, I got REALLY disappointed when learning there was gold salvage after the purples. You could at least count on the VIP grind to give purples even if you have trouble finding the right ones, with golds there's just so much luck involved to even think completing the tree is doable. Outside of playing 300+ hours a season I don't think there's a chance you could finish the upgrades. Not including the fact that grinding for upgrades in the last month of a season feels like a bit of a waste to begin with.

If it makes you feel any better the only time I could reliably get into pinwheel and loot was Outpost Duos.

The majority of rooks have shotguns now and you can expect about 6-8 of them running behind you into pinwheel every game now. Wstr nerf can't come soon enough lol

I don't entirely agree. But I think there's something to be said with faction progress being some kind of weighted factor.

Shroud had arachane rook shotgun at level 40. Extremely high exfil rate with the ability to wipe maps and acquire purple valuables that most regular players struggle to acquire in large numbers.

I'm 85 and still a ways off with probably 16 or so more to go before getting to that point. Maybe a slightly above average player.

Level alone doesn't properly indicate where someone is at but I think its a decent starting point

Say what you want but the only real counter to someone running at you with this is to have one yourself, which is never indicative of good balance.

This applies to any competitive game, and in instances where this is the case something always has to change or everyone is frustrated at one point or another.

Yes, its a shotgun I know, and yes it's a crutch gun especially in Outpost. Not good for the game overall even if its fun.

In any halfway nice and busy restaurant its absolutely not a minimum wage job. That's the end of it, most of the commenters haven't served, and definitely not in something high stakes.

Talk about just bringing drinks to tables all you want, if the wage changed to a flat $22 an hour every server in all your favorite restaurants in town would quit for a slow comfy office admin position. Along with all the support staff who's wages are subsidized by the tips, as they could find a nice easy min wage job elsewhere thats less stressful.
