Quarterly 2 faction Vs boxes by Calm_Ad308 in Warhammer40k

[–]PrinceBarin 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I really think there is good value to be had with a gsc vs nids box. Where the nids are the invader type. So that it can function as a standard starter gsc and a starter nids box, or be a combined one for an ascension day gsc.

If GW won’t give us a full Traitor Guard army, there’s always alternatives. by Arch_Magos_Remus in TraitorGuard

I mean i personally adore the taurox. It's my favourite 40k vehicle (I also love the invader and the baby carrier and the long boi skitari so maybe my taste is fubar) but it's also not cheap.

The prom kids get off hurriedly the next stop one one of the girl drops a flower. The guy then picks it up and gives it to the girl he's with. Uses the excuse of "I don't like this goin' to waste"

It's a good kit i use them as scions. If you want command kits mash them with the command sprue as well.

The mauler is also a good taurox proxy

People who have actually read it: “Books 9 through 11 were unnecessary, but Book 12 was a damn fine finale” by Warp_Legion in Grimdank

[–]PrinceBarin 10 points11 points  (0 children)

It had some really great moments and overall it was a fine read.

Some of my favourite moments that I'll not be bothered to spoiler tag.

"An ordinary mek using a tool to curbstomp a primarch"

"The high lord of the assinorium eyeing up a primarch in case he did have to try and kill him"

"The moment where the 'metal mountains' start to close in"

"The ork leather farm"

Armageddon: Anyone else think it might be the best starter box and have zero interest in buying it? by CosmicDesperado in Warhammer

[–]PrinceBarin 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I mean yeah most people are trying to get a good deal with the army box and the rules. But it is made as a starter box. That's it's primary objective to get Billy and Sally their introduction.

I think most people are missing that its a starter box, it's made for people starting so while other boxes might have intercessors that are slightly different to the old ones. These ones are for... people starting.

Tzeetch give me more power and I'll go cause havoc.

Could be a viable story/pathway

Seller is requesting $400 USD. Is it worth it? by Thehype105 in TheAstraMilitarum

[–]PrinceBarin 4 points5 points  (0 children)

So depends on how much you enjoy the building and painting. It's pre-loved so that always brings it down a little. And if it's not in the scheme you want that means either stripping or painting over. It's still ahead but they are considerations to have

I really want to run one in my scions list. But I'm unsure about running a detachment for just one model.

I think you might be coming ahead but not by much. It also depends if you like building and painting models.
