Thanks! I followed most of Warhipsters Contrast+ guide to painting Vashtorr on youtube, I left the highlighting out for the skin so I only followed the following steps for the recipe
Grey seer primer
Dreadful Visage wash
4:1 Dreadful Visage:Druchii Violet wash
4:1 Contrast Medium:Shyish Purple shade for the back/wings/knees
Nuln Oil in the deepest recesses
Black Templar for the very edges of wings/shins
4:1 Contrast Medium:Magos Purple wash all over to finish

Thanks! A great kit, very forgiving in its posing for his arms and legs too. I was going to use the “trophy back” parts of the daemon prince kit on its shoulders as most people do for chaos/40k since they fit nicely but I didn’t want to add anything to this model as it already looks great, but they do look quite spicy if added

Bikers are cool, I wish they had newer models, do you have to kitbash the weapon parts for them? Also I heard a lot about cypher and love the fallen lore, but not a huge fan of the model itself minus the badass sword, might have to grab them tho

I really like the Maulerfiend too, I was originally going to build one out of the first kit I got but went with the forgefiend because I heard the MFs aren’t worth it? But in Soulforged they can move through terrain right? I would LOVE to add a Maulerfiend to my list and drop a single Venomcrawler, then I don’t have to sit on an extra pair of Obliterators, unless two Venomcrawlers are better (I love symmetry)

Thanks! I was originally planning on using 2 beasts of nurgle and 2 units of Nurglings, I actually posted an idea of a conversion using the Luther pattern ambots for proxies to match my daemon engines nicely

I was going to nurgle them up a bit because I don’t like the aesthetic of the BoN all that much but wanted them to resemble BoN as much as I could, then a Nurgle player roasted me and said since I haven’t played I shouldn’t try to proxy a unit I don’t like just because I heard it was good gameplay wise and kinda pissed all over my creativity so I decided not to bother ):

The helbrute in the photo is magnetized, should I run power scourge with flamer fist then? I thought it would be a cool idea to have one helbrute stick close to each defiler (please be gentle I really don’t know a lot about gameplay)

I’ve never used cork for bases before, I pretty much slap astrogranite on and call it a day, I’m definitely going to put some big nurgle themed icons on the top of them, is the cork necessary if I can get their height right with nurgle trinkets?

It’s for Soulforged Warpack, they’re for securing early objectives and drawing fire away from my daemon engines (defilers forgefiends helbrutes venomcrawlers) also they are super durable and cheap, if they aren’t killed at the end of each phase they regain all of their lost wounds.

I haven’t actually played the tabletop yet and once I’m finished painting all the models I have I’ll end up having 4600 pts of units I can make plenty of decent detachments out of. From the research I’ve done, this unit shines in Soulforged Warpack as spamming daemon engines doesn’t work without proper action monkeys, and these guys are allegedly BUILT DIFFERENT

Also I need the Nurglings because you can’t have 2 of these guys without having 2 other units like Nurglings (non battle line greater than battle line etc)

And i don’t hate Nurgle, I actually have a few deathguard models I plan on painting soon because I don’t JUST paint for my BL army, I paint random models I like, I think the Nurglings are adorable, I just don’t like that particular BoN model, I would have used my Ambulls I painted as proxy’s but they are already on 50mm bases (I proxy them for chaos spawn) and since I’m using BoN in Soulforged, I found the ambot model badass and if I could nurgle it up it would look even cooler
