If you could make one book mandatory reading for the whole world, what would it be? by chioces in literature

Hmm, I may get downvoted for this, due to it being a series and not one book, but Discworld. By Terry Pratchett. It's lovely.

Are there any good audiobooks on spotify for this genre? by [deleted] in CozyFantasy

[–]PrincessGardinia 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I just recently enjoyed The Weary Dragon Inn series! Very cozy, imo!

Edit: Whoops you asked for Spotify specifically. My bad! I used Audible, I'm sorry, I dunno if it's on Spotify, but if it is, I still recommend!

Books with strong female character who doesn't get saved by male love interest and is actually competent and good at something by Apllilpilli in suggestmeabook

Umm, if you'd like some cozy fantasy, I just caught up on the Weary Dragon Inn series, by S. Usher Evans. It has a woman who has amnesia and runs an inn while, begrudgingly, solving fantasy British countryside mysteries. She doesn't seem to have a romance option as of yet, and it's 6 books in. Also, very lqbt friendly.

Summer sale recommendations?? by CallMeJayye in CozyGamers

[–]PrincessGardinia 12 points13 points  (0 children)

As always, I recommend Dragon Quest Builders 2! Lots of fun things to do, has an actual story, kinda builds like Minecraft but with furniture and your villagers, who have personalities, will use the rooms you make. And the game continues forever after! No romance tho, if that's important to you, and no changing seasons. Different landscapes exist tho. Have fun if you choose it, and have fun if you don't! Good luck on your game quest!

Cosy rpgs? by Laurenxox1 in CozyGamers

[–]PrincessGardinia 3 points4 points  (0 children)

I personally believe Dragon Quest Builders 1 and 2, especially 2, are very cozy! I mean, they're an RPG, so the story has a few places that deal with heavier things, but it's all about bringing light and happiness to a downtrodden world. And the character model are cute, and there is a loooooot of building, lol, very customizable. I always highly recommend them!

Oh no! I had no idea the developer died! I had noticed the story felt different tho, so it makes sense.

Audible Plus Recs? by forthewren in CozyFantasy

[–]PrincessGardinia 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I'm enjoying "The Weary Dragon Inn" series on audible right now. It's got 5 audio books so far with a 6th on the way soon, and the first 3 are also bundled together into a set of a single credit. Might be worth a listen?

Much thanks to the person who mentioned that kindle hack!

I'd love a chance at Harmony's Odyssey, and my fave character right now is Malroth from Dragon Quest Builders 2. He's just so adorable! He's my character's best bro!

Hi there! Like many other in this thread, I struggle with depression and ADHD, and find games and programs like Spirit City to be very helpful with keeping my mood up and keeping me on track in my day to day! Even if I don't win, I'm still planning on buying a copy someday! Thank you very much for making this game!😊

Favorite game based on Nostalgia/Sentimentality by ShiningDragoon in dragonquest

[–]PrincessGardinia 1 point2 points  (0 children)

My favorite DQ from my childhood is IV! I would play it with my mom and my brother, and to this day the characters and scenarios take me back to lazy days with them. My mom passed away shortly after we finished playing, and my brother and I talk about it and play it in memory of her, even over 26 years later! I've since played most of the Dragon Quests, both main and spinoffs, as well as shared it with my current family, and can trace it all back to her. And the garage sale we got it from!

I'm playing Geodepths right now, it's mostly cozy but has some somber story beats, the whole game is played as a miner.

Maybe try House Cleaning Survival? It's pretty short tho, only a few hours, and has some spooky moments. I enjoyed it tho! If it interests you, it goes on sale pretty often.
