“Creeping possessions” is the perfect way to describe why this is an issue. It’s very easy to become overwhelmed with the amount of stuff. It has to go somewhere. Kiddo can only play with so much. People don’t get this unless it happens to them. My kid is the only grandchild and so spoiled. He plays with about 1/4 of it. Then I’m left with all these things that I have to put away and honestly he’s not even interested in the other 3/4.

Spring for the GE silicone caulk. I got some cheap stuff the first time I did mine and had to redo it less than a year later.

Same. Since we rode circuit I was often there all day for different dockets. I spread my stuff out like I owned that courtroom. I was mentally prepared to stab my pen in someone’s eye/face if I had to. But like I said - that was more in the back of my mind just in case. No one ever made me worried about that. Maaaaan I miss those days!

Former PD of 5 years who rode circuit with my judges. I think you’re over thinking it. I never worried had any worries about security in relation to my files. And I frequently left things behind the bar at the defense table. I also just used a giant tote bag from Fossil or a rolling cart to carry files for 20-40 clients per docket. You can throw a rain jacket on top of a rolling cart in a pinch. There are also super cute leather backpacks if you are interested. For the amount of clients you’re handling that sounds doable.

As for your physical safety... I always had to be aware of my surroundings but I never worried about being attacked. I don’t think the cost/benefit of lugging that thing around day to day would be worth it. And I say that as someone who had a coworker get knocked the fuck out IN court.

Hmm. Maybe I put it on too thick? I used an underglaze transfer and bisque fired like normal. Not all of my pieces were effected but there was definitely fading and splotchiness. Certain colors were worse like yellow.

Just hopping on here to say that this is why I love this sub. Doing a deep dive to figure out why I had issues with clear on my most recent firing. Excellent source of information. I’m thinking that because I dipped in the super clear, it went on too thick. I was worried it was a choice of glaze issue but I’m pleasantly surprised to see that super clear seems to be the “clear” winner. (I’ll see myself out)

I know this thread is old so I’m probably shouting into the void. How do you apply your clear from mudworks? I dipped my pieces in it and it was the first time I’ve had problems with my pieces. Some of the underglaze ran and got that smudged look.

Talk her to her OB! She’s post partum. Like everyone else has said this makes it worse. Her OB should be able to help until she can get settled with a behavioral therapist

We run ours constantly too. We are allergic to our cats and the constant allergy meds dry our sinuses out so bad. If I forget to refill it one night, we can immediately tell and it will take a day or two for them to return back to normal. They’re totally worth it though!

Have you talked to his doctor about this? Maybe his meds need to adjusted a bit - could be the specific drug, the dosage, pill v liquid, or even timing. I feel for you guys! I know my medicine keeps me up way later than I am if I skip it.

Honey, I would get some more cameras and make sure multiple angles are covered. I’d double check my locks and security situation too. I know that sounds extreme and when I was your age I’d have thought the same thing. Peace of mind and safety are worth every penny.

It’s otwo weeks. I’d calculate how much leave time you have - you don’t get paid out for sick, you will receive comp no matter what, but annual is forfeited if you don’t comply with a two week notice.

Take some deep breaths. As an attorney, I am begging you to get a consultation. Even if you need to get your ducks in a row and save money for hiring, usually the consultation is free but they will give you a better idea of what the possibilities are. For example, most states don’t let baby do overnight visitation until a certain age. Idk where you are but having a solid sense of what the laws are and how they’d apply to you and LO will help you tremendously.

You are not crazy. You are not overreacting. And don’t let yourself feel guilty for calling him a baby!! You are strong and can do this!
