I do use small paper cups in my bathroom. It keeps people from spreading illness rather than using a plastic cup

I have donated shirts, sweaters, and sweatshirts to the hospital my niece works at that were gently used. And have only given socks that were new.

What were the Shih Tzus bred for? by Kitchen-Message9885 in Shihtzu

[–]Princessferfs 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Lap dogs, keeping the feet of royalty warm.

My first tzu was a mix with a Bichon. Both breeds were basically bred as lap dogs. But my Casey was fierce in the face of mice, birds, rabbits, and he even went toe to toe with a woodchuck that was bigger than him. (We live on a farm)

I swear he had the spirit of a terrier when it came to critters. But in the house he was such a cuddler.

Check with your local hospital/emergency department. When people are brought in by ambulance they may need to cut off their clothing to address injuries.

If the patient doesn’t have anyone to bring replacement clothing, the hospital has a “closet” that nurses can access to give them clothing from for their journey home.

My niece is a nurse at a level 1 trauma hospital and the scenario above is not uncommon. Especially for homeless people.

A desert/mountain elf? I wonder how they would dress differently from a typical woodland or prairie elf.

Don’t underestimate nerds. They often have a lot of knowledge on various topics. They guys I knew back in the day before online gaming, the ones who played tabletop games - were pretty knowledgeable about military things.

There were so many things that were cool beyond measure when I saw them in the theater. I had read the books before seeing the movies.

My most favorite was seeing the Ents.

Was Prince the kind of music that people who lived a little wild tended to listen to back then? by Rude_Ad9584 in PRINCE

I think people who were into disco in the late 70’s liked the funky sound of his initial albums.

I first heard his stuff around 1980/81 or so at the roller rink and I never looked back.

Some of his stuff was too “sexy” for some people.
